I am an avid f1 fan and the amount of ppl who got into the sport by watching drive to survive is incredible. I found crossfit from the netflix film of 2017. While espn is fine the new generation do not watch tv.

Here’s my take - i think the current “cf media” doesnt care how the stories are told as long as they are told. HQ is most likely saving dollars by having Dave tell the athlete stories rather than paying contractors or a production company to tell the same stories. As long as the names get out, there’s no care.
Ultimately, it comes down to not professionals or content creators for their work value.
