All of the work you ass off and eat less of foods you hate people think that everyone fits in the same mould. We are all different with different issues. Drastically reducing your caloric intake chronically just tanks your metabolism. Grehlin, a hormone produced in your stomach, signals hunger. Low calorie dieting increases this hormone and the hunger sensation, urging you to eat. Keto and carnivore satisfys that urge and the metabolism functions as it should.

True. Very hard for Americans, Canadians, UK, Mexicans. Yet it has worked for other billion people. Requires discipline, exercise, correct lifestyle. When patients are controlled in a clinical eating center and they don't have the ability to cheat, then it works 100% of the time while their life is controlled.

True. Millions have failed to control their diet and environment as well as lifestyle. It is very difficult for most people in the US, UK, Canada, Mexico. However it has worked for billions people for the last 100 years. Worked very well for the majority of the US population from 1600 to 1970. Then people changed habits, life got easier, food became faster, people started eating out and snacking,...many things. I know that every time we place an obese woman in a controlled clinical location, we control her eating, movement, exercise, life habits and no chance of cheating, they always lose weight on just a simple whole foods diet where there is a control of the food volume, quality and type (CICO). Sure, when they get out, they run free, stop exercising and start eating items not on the plan. 😢. Don't blame sugar for what the elbow did. Each time that elbow bends, what's at the end? Spinach leaves or a cupcake? Real white fish or McDonald's fake fish sandwich.

It helped with the hunger, but didn't help with weight loss. I now do intermittent fasting, usually eating twice a day (around 11am and then between 2 and 4pm); try to keep my carbohydrates under 50 grams per day; and stick to about 2000 calories. I also track what I eat and my exercise (mainly different types of dancing) in order to stick to my plan, and to record achievements. So far, my total loss since being my heaviest (in early 2015) is 47 kg. My goal is another 5 kg. So, 117 kg to 70kg. Goal - 65kg.

That is less than the total 3500 or more calories that I was eating when I ate far more vegetables, fruit, nuts, and dairy and far less meat and sardines. I still eat a few nuts and some evaporated milk and cream in my black tea. However, I am far less hungry and I am able to occasionally fast for 14 hours a day a few times a week. I do not see any evidence that fasting for 14 hours a day does a thing for me. I know that Dr. Fung would say that I am not fasting long enough, but the only reason I continue to fast at all is because it does seem intelligent to give the digestive track a rest each day.

One of the best natural source would probably be steak, that's about 22g per 100g, that's 800g of steak you have to eat to reach that amount of protein, you'll be fuller than full for sure.

@@michaelcariello6233 I might have misunderstood what you were saying. Generally speaking it takes less calories for me to get full on carnivore than it did on SAD. But I would agree 1200 calories it seems starvation level.
And oftentimes people who are overweight on carnivore need to actually eat more to lose weight, not less

4:10 I know one particular fulfilling and zero calorie thing, it’s called Buddha clay, and many Chinese ate it during starvation.
    Fuking ridiculous claim.

Can you do a video about red and processed meat causing cancer? It's an argument against eating these!

Why is doc westman agreeing with calories in calories out approach and eat carbs? Isn’t that thinking anti-lchf? I’m shook. I thought he believed in the impact certain types of food have on insulin levels. Giving this a thumbs down as whoever produces westman videos really needs to get clear on sending out consistent messages to fans. Right now, I’m completely confused.

He's giving the guy the benefit of the doubt because at least he is recommending real food rather than processed junk.

While it's true that in this video Dr Westman gives the impression that he agrees with cico, but if you have been following his other videos you will see that, although he agrees that a calorie deficit can make you lose weight, just eating less is (very) hard to maintain because you will be fighting against your own body's hunger signals. When on keto, appetite goes down, and we naturally tend to eat less - on top of the reduction in the carbs that cause insulin to go up with the resulting weight gain.
To avoid confusion, he should maybe have spelled out that doing it the keto way is easy, doing it the cico way is hard, and even impossible long-term.

He falsely believes it does but no they don’t matter at all calories can’t impact weight in any way because calories can’t impact mass nor gravity ergo no amount of calories can ever impact weight. Other then through indirect means and in that case you need perfect mathematical conversions between the relationship of the proxy measure compared to the actual measure and calories offer no such thing
