This Arab scale is based on 4 tones called the lower jins or tetrachord. It has a quarter tone on the 2nd degree. You also can play it with out the quartertone, then it's called Saba Zam Zam. (in this case G, Ab, Bb and Cb) Saba is often used to express feelings as sadness and pain. With bending the guitarstrings it gets a nice bluesy touch..

So eastern Tuning is different with western Tuning
hi Yassine..the tuning is the same but this guitar has extra added frets needed to play 1/4 tones as found in Arabic music melodies

check out the equal temperament version : the Saba Zamzam ;)
