Palkia is part water-type, so it would have benefitted from the Drizzle ability. Groudon's Drought put Palkia at a disadvantage, as well as give Ho-oh support when it came out.
Thunder is only nuetral on Palkia, also due to the fact Kyogre outsped Darkrai, we have to assume the Kyogre was scarfed, and therefor could not change moves, so predicting a possible thunder from the palkia (which makes sense) he went into a ground type to take the thunder, set up his sun and counter palkia with whatever he felt like next
-applause applause- Excellent job there! It's nice that you brought back some of the older legendaries into battle as opposed to just using the new ones. Your Groudon/Ho-oh combo was very impressive. I have a question: the screen was rather blurry, so I couldn't see your entire party. What six Pokemon did you have?
You didn't consider the fact that his Groudon focuses on physical attacks, like it should, and Fire Punch's power is boosted by the sunlight, so it's not wasted.
It was choice scarfed, so it can only do sacred fire. And actually, sacred Fire is actually the same than Earthquake on Dialga. Sunlight+STAB=super effective
Watching these battle videos again, I kinda wanna play Pokemon again. I got a couple of the games back and they bring back memories. I wish I had Wi Fi. Wireless.
EXCELLENT job! You showed him who's boss! Seriously, though, I'd battle you non-ubers if I trained my Pokemon enough..and...if I had PBR. But seriously, you're good, even with Ubers.
This shows you can use added effects and stat boosters to your advantage well. PS thx for using groudon's drought. The rain on the screen was annoying me :P
@TeKnO2BaEr Wobbuffet learns both Counter and Mirror Coat. Both attacks let it reflect twice the damage it takes, but one works on physical attacks and the other works on special attacks. It also learns Encore, which forces the enemy to re-use one attack. Finally, it has the ability Shadow Tag, which prevents switching. The end result is that fighting a Wobb means that you only get to use one move, and it does a lot more damage to you than it does to the enemy. And you can't switch out.
Arceus, Darkrai, Deoxys (All forms), Dialga, Giratina, Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Latias, Latios, Lugia, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Wobbuffet. --that's the list of ubers latios/as are ubers for 2 reasons: 1. Soul dew makes them even more amazing (starting a match with a minimum of 384 sp atk, with more than 300 sp def and 300 def and 307 spd), clearly makes it above OU 2. Recover on any pokemon with amazing defense that can ALSO deal a lot of damage is definitely Uber
actually, because latios is used as a special sweeper, usually with a timid nature, speed of 350, and a special attack (from soul dew) of 523, make an argument of why a pokemon tied for the 25th best speed of all time and the best special attack when entering a battle isnt uber. -307 was from an old EV spread i found
The Other Guy Obviously Was Someone Who Only Depended On OP Pokemon, With Little To No Strategy Involved. Nice Job With Using Groudon's Drought & Pairing With Sacred Fire To Sweep Thru His Pathetic Ass.
Because they have greater stats, hence why they are called ubers. You have average legendarys like the Dogs and birds then you have ubers like mewtwo and rayquaza
Hah! So much for Mewtwo, the 'ultimate' Pokemon. Got its ass kicked good! Besides, you got some good ubers there. I myself prefer not to battle using Ubers. Still, this is worth watching. 5/5
The idiot trained that Darkrai completely wrong, it's easy enough to see from turn 1. A Darkrai doesn't need to be very powerful in any kind of offensive stat. It just needs Speed. A fast Darkrai (ergo, one with 380+ in the stat, which is entirely possible with a beneficial nature) can put its opponent to sleep, then Nightmare it, and only has to inflict 1/4 hp to get a kill in 3 turns. Let them switch out, and just put their new one to sleep as well.
If I had an uber battle, I'd just use a bunch of Mews. Bad stratagy due to all the same single type, but Mew can learn and TM or HM. So that makes it a somewhat good choise.
I am internally laughing at this dude, for being an epic failure. I guess nobody took him seriously, since he uses crappy typing. But, I also do use Rare Candies (shoot me), but yet, I still EV (or IV, I really don't know) train my Pokemon with those nutrients and stuff.
Groundou using the Salac Berry is obviously the fastest there. And Ho-oh with 252 EVs in speed (max 306) is faster than Mewtwo and Deoxys with 0 EVs in speed (min 238 and 274). So, can you imagine how he built those pokémon?
@MultiNiceguy2 Groudon's more of a physical attacker. Solarbeam is Sp Atk. If EVd correctly, Fire Punch can do just as much damage as Solarbeam under sun.
Wow, that guy's Darkrai SUCKS. Darkrai has one of the highest speed stats in the game, yet it was outspeeded by a Kyogre...That's kind of pathetic. o.O
it all depends on the battle scenario. Want a lot of power with a fire attack, go fire blast. Dragon tail is supposed to be like whirlwind, in the UU tier, dragon tail Milotic is not bad. Thunder is great for rain teams, blizzard is amazing in hail teams. Fire blast is amazing on sun teams. I don't agree and I don't suck. It all depends on the team you're running.
Nobody trains its speed because compared to Ubers standards, it's still pretty slow. And its outstanding stats are its Attack and Defense, so might as well train those, right? :D
@gary2346 I dunno....my Articuno knows the lethal combination of "Mind Reader", and "Sheer Cold". It might take two turns,(first to lock-on,second to attack), but most people don't see it coming. And if you partner it in a double battle with Darkrai, who puts everyone else to sleep in one of the first turns,it becomes a turky-shoot for your team.I've one-hit KO'd many legendaries this way(about 10-15)including,Giratina,Palkia,Dialga,and Mewtwo. Just check it out.
Lol. Speaking of legendaries, if someone had a team of 6 Arceus, I wonder what types they would be? I think it'd be cool to see a battle of 6 Arceus vs. 6 Arceus. Actual trainers of course though, not people who have 6 Arceus just to pwn people.
You have very impressive and powerful pokemons. Can you tell me what uber pokemons do you have and their attacks. From the video, it appears that you have a Kyorge with Water Spout, Ice Beam, Thunder, and Hidden Power, a Ho-oh with Sacred Fire, Earthquake, Double-Edge, and Aerial Ace, and a Groundon with Fire Punch, Earthquake, Sword Dance, and Stone Edge
I question the Legitness of that Arceus. The only possible way to get Arceus was from a Toy's R Us event which I actually have Which was in 20009 and this video was made in 2007. Also it's not in a Cherish Ball. So with all that said my final word is HACKED!!!
@gary2346 let me put it this way. if your opponent had a Registeel with 252 ev's in defense and special defense and has used amnesia and iron defense to raise those stats even higher, what would you rather do? attempt the OHKO, or use most of your team to bring it down?
good but fighting with ubers aint interesting.. its all about luck and a bit strategie (knowing whats effective) playing with pokemon like Quagsire is interesting coz you need a good attack set. but omg that Groudon looked great... he survived Surfer from Palkia??? thats REALLY great effort.. he is fire and ground typ so its 4x strong
never. now that each attack is physical / special on its own instead of just based on what type it is, Groudon needs any physical attacks he can get his claws on... an Fire Punch is physical
i love your battle strategy D: start off with a water type that makes it rain..which makes his water moves stronger..then switch to a pokemon that makes it sunny..once that ones out switch to a fire type whos moves are stronger from Drought :3
I agree with ninjaweaselofdoom; that strategy was out of my class... Salac Berry+Sword Dance, Drought + Ho-Oh? Those are pretty good, if you ask me. You sure proved ichigo_bankai wrong!
CoolMapleStore can't tell if they are hacked or not. He doesn't even know how to calculate IV,EV and TV. A word of advice. Don't write a stupid comment if you don't even know what you're talking about.
dude you kicked his Nooby arse, way to go! I dont use any Ubers .... i think Empoleon RoseRade Gallade Magnezone Rhyperior Weavile are any of these Ubers?
To use swords dance instead of an attack move and to use a speed berry on Groudon is just splendid. You sir is a genius!
Yeah that was super smart! He knew that Groudon would be able to withstand Surf thanks to the harsh sunlight! Good strategy!
Palkia is part water-type, so it would have benefitted from the Drizzle ability. Groudon's Drought put Palkia at a disadvantage, as well as give Ho-oh support when it came out.
He didn't need to, he knew he would survive the next hit, then activate his Salac Berry, allowing it to sweep.
Who would have thought that your opponent's AR could have failed him so badly
i always loved when two gigantic pokemon fight. its so badass !
Your team is well assembled.
You cover all your pokemons weaknesses
-applause applause- Excellent job there! It's nice that you brought back some of the older legendaries into battle as opposed to just using the new ones. Your Groudon/Ho-oh combo was very impressive. I have a question: the screen was rather blurry, so I couldn't see your entire party. What six Pokemon did you have?
The Ho-Oh was holding a Choice Scarf, letting it's speed increase at the cost of being able to use one move only.
"LETS END DIS CUZ IM KING"
Oh christ.
That guy probably thought he could beat you bad...
Great job, it was an intense uber battle to the finish :D
Watching these battle videos again, I kinda wanna play Pokemon again. I got a couple of the games back and they bring back memories. I wish I had Wi Fi. Wireless.
EXCELLENT job! You showed him who's boss!
Seriously, though, I'd battle you non-ubers if I trained my Pokemon enough..and...if I had PBR. But seriously, you're good, even with Ubers.
wow. He did not have it HIS way when he said"I cant be beaten"
This shows you can use added effects and stat boosters to your advantage well.
PS thx for using groudon's drought. The rain on the screen was annoying me :P
Nice battle!!!!
There is one thing i have learned from with using a deoxys, give it a focus sash!! unless you have the defence form that is
thank you for defeating someone who thought they were invinsible
The Ho-oh was choice scarfed, and probably the Deoxys had an attack boosting nature
Ho-oh Couldn't Learn Brave Bird Until Heart gold and Soul Sliver,
Very good battle for an Uber fight. Five stars.
@TeKnO2BaEr
Wobbuffet learns both Counter and Mirror Coat. Both attacks let it reflect twice the damage it takes, but one works on physical attacks and the other works on special attacks. It also learns Encore, which forces the enemy to re-use one attack. Finally, it has the ability Shadow Tag, which prevents switching.

See kiddies, this is why you don't call yourself OP and just be a legends spammer, because someone who knows how to battle will wreck your team. :D
Soul dew makes them even more amazing (starting a match with a minimum of 384 sp atk, with more than 300 sp def and 300 def and 307 spd), clearly makes it above OU
2. Recover on any pokemon with amazing defense that can ALSO deal a lot of damage is definitely Uber
And Ho-Oh is Ho-Oh, Arceus looses.
actually, because latios is used as a special sweeper, usually with a timid nature, speed of 350, and a special attack (from soul dew) of 523, make an argument of why a pokemon tied for the 25th best speed of all time and the best special attack when entering a battle isnt uber.
-307 was from an old EV spread i found
No, Sunny Day + STAB made Sacred Fire even stronger than a supereffective EQ.
Don't make me repeat myself boy...
How could this person beat people with those ubers? He's obviously very skilled, using Surf in the sun.
I HIGHLY doubt his opponent's pokemon, like Mewtwo, were EV trained.
The Other Guy Obviously Was Someone Who Only Depended On OP Pokemon, With Little To No Strategy Involved. Nice Job With Using Groudon's Drought & Pairing With Sacred Fire To Sweep Thru His Pathetic Ass.
Awsome battle. I myself play BL/UU tier (Mostly) and Uber, because it's just so fun. And this battle looked awsome, so, 5/5.
Also, very nice team. (
1-hit KO moves were affected by speed only in gen 1
Yo FireTitan took that Roar Of Time like a boss. Great battle and nicknames by the way hahah "BlueTerror"

If you count choice scarf as unboosted than even things like gengar can outspeed deoxys-s
Groundou using the Salac Berry is obviously the fastest there.
And Ho-oh with 252 EVs in speed (max 306) is faster than Mewtwo and Deoxys with 0 EVs in speed (min 238 and 274).
So, can you imagine how he built those pokémon?
Imagine a Battle Revolution player who used legends AND knew how to play......😓
@marcellnigro the groudon used a berry it was holding to boost its speed when its HP was lowered
The max speeds of Deoxys or Mewtwo are extrem far higher than the speeds of Ho-oh or Groundon.
@MultiNiceguy2 Groudon's more of a physical attacker. Solarbeam is Sp Atk. If EVd correctly, Fire Punch can do just as much damage as Solarbeam under sun.
it's shiny, and judging by the ball it was caught, legit.
Dragon tail is supposed to be like whirlwind, in the UU tier, dragon tail Milotic is not bad. oh yeah it was the opponent i thought of
any one can outspeed any one depending on EV's and IV's and natures.
Lol Groudon's hit animation is near identical to the one used in Pokemon XD.
theres a reason why Groudon is my favorite legendary and this is it! its really powerful
wow i gotta tell ya u pulled off some unlikly match ups but that sunny day worked 2 ur advantage good job
Top Tier Pokemon, mainly legendaries, called Ubers Because most pokemon can't fight them on even ground.
lol i like his losing line "I WANT MORE POWER!!"
Groudon used a salac berry to increase his speed
Nobody trains its speed because compared to Ubers standards, it's still pretty slow. And its outstanding stats are its Attack and Defense, so might as well train those, right? :D
2 of the deoxys forms have the highest atk/speed stats though :p
thats always a good thing
I like the picture of your guy in the sun around 2:35 I think, it looks awesome =D
Groudon is faster than most pokemon though, no one just bothers to train it for speed for some reason.
Great seeing Darkrai's eye.
Kyogre is fucking OP in gen 4
"I WANT MORE POWER" XD I burst out laughing.
Lol.
Speaking of legendaries, if someone had a team of 6 Arceus, I wonder what types they would be? I think it'd be cool to see a battle of 6 Arceus vs. 6 Arceus. Actual trainers of course though, not people who have 6 Arceus just to pwn people.
I know thats why I loaded the moves with pp ups to take care of that problem
if you meant on the opponent's side it was attack deoxys. python was using defensive
You have very impressive and powerful pokemons. Can you tell me what uber pokemons do you have and their attacks.
From the video, it appears that you have a Kyorge with Water Spout, Ice Beam, Thunder, and Hidden Power, a Ho-oh with Sacred Fire, Earthquake, Double-Edge, and Aerial Ace, and a Groundon with Fire Punch, Earthquake, Sword Dance, and Stone Edge
that guy who have arceus cheated look at his pokemon most of them were caught with master ball and in a game you can only get 1 masterball
That Groudon is awesome!!
I question the Legitness of that Arceus. The only possible way to get Arceus was from a Toy's R Us event which I actually have Which was in 20009 and this video was made in 2007. Also it's not in a Cherish Ball. So with all that said my final word is HACKED!!!
Oops. I just notice the "20009" I meant to say 2009
There is still the void glitch
@gary2346 let me put it this way. if your opponent had a Registeel with 252 ev's in defense and special defense and has used amnesia and iron defense to raise those stats even higher, what would you rather do? attempt the OHKO, or use most of your team to bring it down?
earthquick- 100pwr. physical
stone edge- 100pwr. physical
fire punch- ~60pwr. physical
:P
You see kiddies THAT is what happens when you rare candy your cheated ubers to 100
ARCEUS FAINTED?! AND HE WAS SHINY!!!...ur pkmn r awesome
Waitwaitwait... your battling... on a METEOR?!!? wtf? Oh well, that was a nice battle anyway =)
good
but fighting with ubers aint interesting..
its all about luck and a bit strategie (knowing whats effective)
playing with pokemon like Quagsire is interesting coz you need a good attack set.
but omg that Groudon looked great... he survived Surfer from Palkia??? thats REALLY great effort..
he is fire and ground typ so its 4x strong
Sacred fire is my favorite move
it depends, i've taken countless ho-ohs down with my bolt max def. max hp lugia
That Groundon was absolutely amazing!
never. now that each attack is physical / special on its own instead of just based on what type it is, Groudon needs any physical attacks he can get his claws on... an Fire Punch is physical
Hey, I fought this guy. I beat him without legendaries. I did it again
i love your battle strategy D: start off with a water type that makes it rain..which makes his water moves stronger..then switch to a pokemon that makes it sunny..once that ones out switch to a fire type whos moves are stronger from Drought :3
Well this kid here in this video isn't playing any rule-set (and he/she probably has never heard of a metagame before).
actually it's like 1 in 1,651 chances or something i read about it once this guy filmed every thing he restarted.
Choice Scarf
My Uber team of Pokemon Pearl:
Rayquaza
Mew
Kyogre
Groudon
Ho-oh
Lugia
i bet that dude togekissed your ass after this battle
I'm guessing you never heard of Uber Metagame then?
I agree with ninjaweaselofdoom; that strategy was out of my class... Salac Berry+Sword Dance, Drought + Ho-Oh? Those are pretty good, if you ask me. You sure proved ichigo_bankai wrong!
how does your ho-oh know double edge? take it you transferred it from a gen 3 game
is Python's oppodent a COTH?
CoolMapleStore can't tell if they are hacked or not. He doesn't even know how to calculate IV,EV and TV.
A word of advice. Don't write a stupid comment if you don't even know what you're talking about.
Pythonkid > Why don't you give Punishment to Ho-Oh? This is really useful against minder in Oober metagame =/
Not completely my point. Why have a move that Groudon doesn't need?
lol you beat him big time
"I battle with heart!"
"I WANT MORE POWER"
so hilarious
I WANT MORE POWER
Don't you think Uber is enough power?
Power without speed or intelligence is nothing.
dude you kicked his Nooby arse, way to go!
I dont use any Ubers .... i think
Empoleon
RoseRade
Gallade
Magnezone
Rhyperior
Weavile
are any of these Ubers?
Gallade is borderline.
Rhyperior is UU.
Everything else is OU.
