I would have agreed with you. But then I looked up that only a very small portion of Irish speak Geaelic. If the intent of the documentary was to pass along information, then presenting it in a somewhat obscure language was a miss.
Seriously, you are complaining about Irish history being discussed in Irish by Irish people in Ireland?! And to help for those who can't speak the language they have provided subtitles in English. It doesn't matter what other languages the presenter can speak. He is speaking for his home audience, in the language of his hearth and home. Not everyone has to speak in English on youtube, and youtube channels can be multi lingual. Stop being so insular and demanding everyone speak your language.

Unfortunately all absolute history videos are in Gaelic for some reason, never used to be. Not reading subtitles with that annoying racket going on for an hour. Sort of defeats the action of viewing. Time to unsubscribe pity really.
It's Not a new show. It's from 2010. It was recorded that way in the First place. They just uploaded it for others. I on the other Hand don't Mind reading subtitles.
