My gf is quite a bit younger than I, but one of the big reasons we get along so well is because our tastes in music coincide a lot. She loves music from my generation and earlier, like myself. She also has a the nearly exact sense of humor. I think if two people match in those areas, there's a good chance they'll be compatible in other areas as well and they'll have a strong, lasting relationship.
