The comparison of the different loadouts for the F8C in combination with the different survivors of a static Anvil Carrack worked really well. I love how everyone talks about nerfs but remember everything will be brought to where it is supposed to be in time. I love the video just picked up my F8 over the weekend and I love it regardless of any nerfs. Best looking fighter in the game but it won’t be my daily flier. That spot is reserved for my Zeus MR

Found mine during Orison missions in red loot boxes long after the Monday October 23rd 2023 end date. Ship is located in Pledge Store--> Extras --> Standalone ship tab.
When Cig puts the armor on the ships, the size of the weapons it carries will penetrate little compared to other ships like the Sabre, the Talon, or the Scorpius
It’s a cool looking ship and sounds amazing to fly, but I’m confused. People keep saying the ship’s performance depends on the pilot and that it can be beaten by other smaller and cheaper ships. If that’s the case, why do people want CIG to nerf it? If anything since the general consensus says it’s not as good people think it is wouldn’t they leave it as is and just make it a fomo/halo product to generate revenue?
It's not that it isn't OP, it's just a very low skill floor ship. You don't have to be a good pilot to beat other not so great pilots with an F8C. Assuming high and equal skill, yes an Arrow will beat an f8C, but that Arrow pilot has to put in thrice the effort to kill the F8C pilot because it's way too forgiving of a ship. To put into perspective of why it's such an issue, the F8C has as much hull HP as a Vanguard, as much shielding, better turn and accel rates, is a smaller profile and does more damage. It's definitely overpowered, but not in the sense that it's going to crush the current contenders of the meta: Light Fighters. However with Master Modes on the horizon, if it's stats were to translate over Into the current lineup of ships, it would be the most OP ship in the game by far.

@Jamie-666 as far is I know right now you can find a more limited amount of golden ticket. But I am not 100 % sure if the hunt there for is still active. If the inital anouncement is still valid that you'll be able to get a Ticket to buy the F8 after you've finished SQ 42 in the hardest or one of the hardest game modes. But CIG is always swapping their strategie depending on the cash intake as it is obvious with the actual ship sale. Every one want's to make money with FOMO ;-)
In lore, it is designed specifically to fight Vanduul. The fins around the cockpit and engines are to protect it from ramming. But I doubt it actually works ingame.. lol
I would advise against buying the tickets with real money. CIG can cancel them at any time and the next promotion for the tickets will probably come soon anyway 🤞
The F8C is cool, and I enjoyed flying it after getting my Golden Ticket, but it's not $300 cool. That's more money than I spent to get my C2 or my 600i Explorer.
Patience and lots of CCUs. I started with an OC LTI Cyclone-MT and applied eight CCUs, almost all Warbond to get up to the C2. It ended up costing me about $255 because I was impatient. If I had waited from IAE (when I applied the CCUs) until the next Invictus, I probably could have got it down to at least $225, maybe even less than $200.
I hate how they down play the ion and inferno the way they do due to the manbabies. The ion should literally rip apart everything from the f8c to the smallest fighter with two shots. But meta really have entered the game and become this…
The ion should not be able to effectively combat light fighters given its cannon. The inferno absolutely should, but only due to the nature of its bullet spam. In a propperly ballanced environment the Ares ability to track its target accurately should be hindered and outmaneuvered easilly by light fighters, but be very punishing if they mess up. The inferno trades the benefit of effectively infinite ammo and acciracey at range against slower targets to pierce shields better but at closer ranges and punish mistakes of more maneuverable fighters in normal dogfighting distances more easilly. In short, it should only be able to "rip apart" in that above context. I think it is ballanced fairly well right now though given that we have a lot more forgiving time on target with NPCs than we should. In the future when enemy dogfighting AI becomes more competant, i agree, the Ion should bust anything with only 1 small shield or less in one shot, and bust most small and medium ships in 2-3 shots apeice. One for shield dispersion at a certain threshold, and one more for direct damage that should cripple most ship parts and destroy most ship noses and bridges. Not sure if heavy fighters with both good shields and good armor such as the F8C should ever take less than 3 body shots though from an ion. A lighter medium fighter such as a Sabre sure, but not heavilly armored targets.
Don't worry, those people will be fine, once CIG come up with an exploration, mining, cargo, salvage, combat ship, with 47 automated turrets, and everything controllable from the pilot seat.

They Nerf it already. I test fly it in one of the ERT mission. with out the balistice guns, those 4 CF-227 guns just do NO damage! I mean no damage! this stop me buying this shit with real money and 260 Dollors with only 6 Monthes Insurance? forget it!

Tickets are only available for special events. none are currently active 🤞

For pvp it depends on the pilot and how he can handle the ship. Since mobility is key here, the fastest and most maneuverable ships usually win 👌

SQ42 should offer the opportunity to unlock one, which you can then buy in the persistent universe in the game for credits 👌

I currently prefer the ion for pve bounties because the alpha damage of the cannon makes the whole thing very easy 👌
