When I went to Boise, ID a couple months ago I bought some of those little round plastic jars for toiletries that squeeze open that I saw you talking about! I haven't used them yet but I figure I could put a few headache meds in one and carry it in my purse. Anyway, you have some of the best suggestions for travel. Love your channel. 😊❤

Im traveling to london in a few months for 2 weeks and only want to take a carry on. Would you recommend these or should i just pack without packing pods for more room?
I like these cubes. but I must say, I would rather use these or the regular packing cubes rather for longer traveling trips than for shorter. so the other way around. because for the longer trips I just hat to think too much about space, I got me a very big suitcase, that is extra light and still stable. plus, because esp. for longer trips I have more stuff and I like to have them categorized. that way I often don't unpack them at all. I take them out and put them in the closet or draws. depending on the size of the room. I will use about 2 cubes even for short trips that way I can press a lot of stuff into one cube, without spreading them around in the wholes in the case. but for the smaller ones I rather don't use them. (by the way, regarding pick-pocketing. I just want to mention, that often the thieves don't try to open your bag using the zipper or whatever regular opener. they cut it open on a side of the bag, that you don't pay attention to in a busy moment. esp. when the bag is a little bigger. also, it helps to have the very essential valuables in one of those smaller cross bags, where the strip cannot be cut open, because it has metal in it. unless you use a nice looking backbag that has inside pocket, that a thieve cannot access that easily even when cutting it open)
I'm definitely going to look into this! As much as I love my packing cubes, I think these pods might work better for fitting in my suitcase. I can never get my cubes to align perfectly. I also love that they can clip anywhere.

I truly don't understand this fad myself so even though I haven't seen your previous vid (yet) I whole-heartedly agree that pods aren't needed. I could see myself buying one or two for my backpack to keep that a little more organized and the clothing contained if I was using the backpack as a travel bag, along with having normal backpack stuff like laptop, etc, in the bag, but in my suitcase what is the point of packing things inside other things inside a suitcase ?? I just don't get it. It doesn't save space because more stuff (ie the cubes) use more space. That's how space works. lol

These pods do not seem any better than the cubes/rectangular prisms. They both use up space, and they offer the same organizational benefits. I would simply stick with the least expensive product. After spending quite a bit of money on cubes, regrettably, it turns out I really just need one for underwear, and maybe one for socks in my carry on.
$80 bucks for 3 pods/cubes... I thought $35 for a set was expensive when I was looking at Eagle Creek Compression cubes. I'm sure they are great but I think I will fold my money back over and put it back in my pocket. That is a very steep price for recycled materials and metal hooks. I have recycled pop bottle seats in my car and I hate them... they wear out super fast and show water spots from the rain like a satin prom dress. Bummer looked like a great idea, too bad the creators got so greedy for a small amount of fabric, zippers and buckles.
Oof! Sorry you feel that way. With 20% it’s $64... but yes they aren’t cheap because they aren’t cheap quality! You get what you pay for I suppose! I think these will last me the rest of my life. The recycled rip stop has no adverse affect on the quality 😊 but- to each his own! Good luck 👍🏼

I pack mine in 2 gallon plastic bags. I've watched my bag out in the rain so many times. Is the ripstop water resistant?

$80 bucks for 3 pods/cubes... I thought $35 for a set was expensive when I was looking at Eagle Creek Compression cubes. I'm sure they are great but I think I will fold my money back over and put it back in my pocket. That is a very steep price for recycled materials and metal hooks. I have recycled pop bottle seats in my car and I hate them... they wear out super fast and show water spots from the rain like a satin prom dress.
Bummer looked like a great idea, too bad the creators got so greedy for a small amount of fabric, zippers and buckles.
Oof! Sorry you feel that way. With 20% it’s $64... but yes they aren’t cheap because they aren’t cheap quality! You get what you pay for I suppose! I think these will last me the rest of my life. The recycled rip stop has no adverse affect on the quality 😊 but- to each his own! Good luck 👍🏼
