Mildred Pierce is worth the watch. It's not just campy. A noir murder melodrama. Joan Crawford transforms from a common waitress to a rich waitress. There is some vicious mother daughter slapping. This is gonna be long, sorry in advance. Not sure about the political comment guy last week, I didn't read it, but you telling people to vote third party bothered me as well. Much like you, I'm very left leaning. I also think the genocide currently being committed is horrendous. I hate Biden's light handed treatment to the people leading the charge on it. Frankly, I don't care for Biden. If there was a viable option outside of him, I would vote for them. A couple things to keep in mind though. There is no viable third option. If people would've done the work before an election year to rally behind a single candidate, and get 3rd party options in positions of power, I would be the first to vote for them. That didn't happen though. Even if by some miracle a third party won they have no support in the house or senate. They would get absolutely nothing passed. Also, keep in mind the ages of the Supreme Court justices. Two of them are on the verge of retiring. By essentially throwing your vote away you're helping Trump. Not a single Trump supporter will do the same. So now Trump will be in office and those 2 justices will quickly retire so that Trump can elect 2, much younger and far right, in that position. We're already seeing the ramifications of a right leaning Supreme Court. Now imagine a far more right leaning, and far younger, court that will be making decisions for the rest of our lives in this country. That's what is at stake. Both Bidens and Trumps stances on the current genocide are vile. So I will be voting with the intention of stopping a Supreme Court that makes the Handmaid's Tale look like a documentary. I will readily, and quite happily, vote for a third party candidate when the work has been done to rally enough people behind one and get people that support them in positions of power. Until that happens though I won't be using my vote to help Trump.
