My English pronunciation has been substantially improved since January when I first started to watch your lessons. It helped me through my IELTS exam as well. For today, I could pronounce each and every one except the Quinoa which I heard for the first time today. I OWE YOU A BIG APPRECIATION, EMMA. Thanks for helping us being better at English 🥰
American speaker here from the Midwest. We tend to be a little harder with our "r" sounds. Especially in the Chicago area. So for the word "iron", we would say it like "eye-urn". And for "weird" you would definitely hear the "r" sound. Like "weir d". And for "clothes", you would most likely hear It pronounced as "cloze". Hang up your cloze. But we also have many regional dialects. I have a family member from Kentucky. With the word "oil"...I would say it as having 2 syllables "oi l" as in rhyming with "foil", whereas she pronounces it as 1 syllable like "foal" but leaving the "f" off. I love language and how we are all so unique. Great channel and videos!
I live in England and haven't learned English for a long time. I talk to people in my language over and over again, I decided to learn English and quickly got bored and gave up. I'm tired of always working at the lowest level just because I don't know this language. And with you for the first time in a long time, my hopes rose and I started listening to you and taking notes every day. I wish I had the opportunity to take private lessons from you. I want this so badly that I can't describe it in words. If I was your student, listening to my English would be enchanted. Let your expression and beautiful energy shine through your teal eyes, you radiate energy Emma. Good luck and stay with us always Emma! Thanks⚘
The pronunciation of almost all of the words is familiar to me. I watch your videos regularly and attentively. Your videos are greatly helping me to understand the pronunciation of native speakers. Keep making these kinds of videos. You are one of my favorite teachers. Best of luck.
I am studying English and have a sounds class for uni in my first semester in which we are learning IPA phonemic transcription. The way you always include the transcription in your videos is super helpful to me, cause I'm transcribing along when trying the test and always have reliable solutions to check my results :) Thank you so much!
Throughout the video I was enjoying watching your manner and how pronounce the words, and how your spirit is amazing and funny. Thank you so much Emma.
New subscriber here, nice to meet you, teacher. Your videos are so helpful and are helping me improve my english since I have no one to talk it with, so thanks a lot. Except from recipt, wich I pronunced the p very slightly, I got all the others correctly. Have a nice day.
Thank you so much for sharing your KNOWLEDGE SINCE I've been watching your videos and practicing hard every EVENING I notice I feel more confident and sound more natural. NO DOUBT ! You're an amazing teacher. How cool your CLOTHES are ! And your hair style fits you very well. 😍🖒😙😙😙 and 🐶 she's awesome too. And you WOMEN around the world remember you're beautiful, unique and smart.
Hello Emma, thank you so much for the lesson, it's been awesome to check my pronunciation, by the way I got 14 . I'm looking forward to seeing more videos on the pronunciation! Big Hug from Ukraine 🇺🇦
My first time watching your video. I found you are a good teacher with your fantastic way to teach English for English learners, including me from Japan. :) I found 2 words I didn't know...especially the last one was totally greek to me. 😅
Hi Emma. Thank you for sharing your videos with excellent content. I tell you that I didn't make any mistakes, although the last word was difficult. Greetings from Costa Rica.
Thanks Emma! To be honest you are a Godsend for students and of course who wants to improve your English perfectly. I’m grateful to you for such a reasonable explanation and pronunciation a native speaker) I would say- You are the smartest. And of course You are the BEST I want you to be Happy Healthy Loved ))))) 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Very nice video! Granted, some words are trickier than others. Most of my Romanian students mispronounce "iron". Perhaps an effective way of dealing with the RP triphthong here is by analogy with "lion", which they always get right.
It all was very difficult for me because I'm not real English speaker but over all a good lesson learned from a versatile sweet and beautiful teacher actually Emma your expression are affected and take yours lesson in my mind
Cheers Emma. That was a real tough one especially the last one. To be honest, as someone who's been taught American English since childhood and switching to British around the recent years, I would admitt that I had two mistakes(Quinoa and Iron) and for the last word I cheated😂 with practacing it four times and I beated the big boss. Thumbs up to your content Emma and never forget to keep up the good work😉.
In the States, we have An American RP called Mid-Atlantic that you hear in movies from the 20s to the 50s, which was also spoken by well-bred muckity-mucks such as FDR. This accent was popularized by dialogue coach Edith Skinner, who used to quip that its named for being from nowhere, since there’s no land in the middle of the Atlantic.
Hey Emma! Thank you so much for this english test even though I hate you😅😅😂 for your last Big Boss word that I couldn't pronounce easily...Honestly, my english pronunciation skills have been improved since I starded watching your videos. May God bless you so much...🙏🙏🙌😁
In the last video I had 10/14 and for this video Ive got 7/13. I'll try to improve as much as I can, by the way I wanted to say that you're videos are really interesting an its easy to level up ! In France all of my teachers are speaking with the American accent and I always wanted to speak with the British one so thanks for sharing your knowledge. 😊 The boss level was sooo hard but fun to hear the correct pronunciation
The Quinua is a SuperFood since INCA's impire, originally Was Born in PERÚ... i Love to Eat it often... the Right Name is "Quinua" in Perú... other countries calls it Quinoa... 🤗
I got two of them wrong -women and receipt. I didn't realize that women was pronounced as wi-min and not wi-men. This was a really fun challenge and I truly enjoyed it.
Thanks so.much Emma! I hot all of them right, even the word quinoa I guessed it because it's pronounced the same way in Spanish ( ki: nua). As fir the last word it's impossible for me to say it correctly😊 P.s: if I could pronounce all the words correctly is because I keep on being your student and you are always my great teacher. Have a fantastic weekend!!!! Inés xx
I didn't make any mistake to pronounce the words you showed in the video.. I got the opportunity to jugde my english pronunciation again because of you. Thank you Emma for the wonderful content. I always wait on Friday to see your new video
I am so glad that I am watching your content as I am a 12 year old little girl and I think that i have done quite good in this test as I got the last word correct because it was familiar to me and I could not pronounce quinoa because it was too unusual and thanks for this channel!
Emmaaaa, the last one? What was that? hahahahaha omg. I got 10/13, not too bad I think 😂 I really love your videos! How about the Podcast? Have you stopped with it? Thaksssss a lot for this content❤
Hi Emma, I just started learning English. Could you please share more word pronunciation videos like this video? because I want to learn the words correctly. btw you are so cute. I adore you ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for the vid. I got em all. I think the previous test was more difficult (I didn't know the correct pronunciation of Edinburgh). The big boss word here was long, yeah, but I don't think there was anything actually difficult with it as the pronunciation matched the letters well.
Aw.. Thank God I get it. If I found a little tricky on level 4 for iron and level 5 for the long sentence 😂 But thank you so much for your loving kindness to teach us. May God bless you all the day of your life. See you soon on the next video lesson😊
The last word was difficult to pronounce, but I pronounced it correctly. I like your Impossible English Pronunciations. Emma. In each level I got two or three words correct the way I pronounced. But I have to correct some of my mistakes Emma. Thank you so much for your pronunciation lessons
great, but can you do that with much more words, please? :-) ... Most people don't know what quinoa is and you would like us to know how to pronounce it :-) Well, I'm falling in love you anyway :-) Would be nice if you could do it in series of 25-50 words. Looking forward to next one. Ks & L from Poland
I'm for the first time on your channel, and I just enjoy it. I'll definitely recommend it to my students. Btw, I've got 14, but I'm an English teacher, so it's not that fair 😜 Best wishes from Ukraine,
I got all of them correct except "women" and "iron". Considering it a to be tricky question, i pronounced 'women' as 'vomen' . the trickiest one was 'iron' . Thank you for the lesson Emma.
I did mispronounced quinoa. But rest of the words pronunciation I did appropriately. I did pronounce big boss rightly. Enjoyed this lesson a lot. I am from Bangladesh. Cheers.
I love this lesson. But did not remember how many of them I did correctly. Many years ago my English language teacher in the centre where I took lessons told us about the big boss and that one was the longest word I ever heard in English. Also an old word "halfpenny", which is not used any more, is a really tricky one, unless you know how to pronounce it.
It was so much fun! ❤Please, do more of these! I have a question about the big boss round. I sometimes hear people pronounce anti- as anTAI rather than anTI. Is it a dialect thing, just like what you explained about iron?
I just found this channel and I love it. Coincidentally I knew exactly how to pronounce 'antidisestablishmentarianism' because my mother taught me that word when I was in my teens. Though I do pronounce too many 'R's in other words which appeared in these two tests. A question though: why do mostly Brits and Aussies pronounce some word combinations with 'r' where it doesn't exist (Americans less so)? Example: when saying "last week I saw a film", they pronounce it as "last week I saw(r) a film". Is it because of those two adjacent vowels? On a side note, I was expecting " 'of' pronounced as 'off' " to make an appearance here. Anyway, cheers!
I'm working on some better pronunciation because I've got a pretty broad Northern accent and right before you showed the final word, as you were saying "I hope it fits on the screen" I said "antidisestablishmentarianism", then laughed so loud when it came on the screen. Great videos.
🎉🎉DID YOU ENJOY THIS?? PART 1 IS HEREEEE: ruclips.net/video/BfnY_jxgvbI/видео.html

Big boss 😢 was very difficult to me
