Now KC has to win to remain tied for first at the midpoint of the season, one of the best ever imo. If Thorns can pull the upset, then they can be considered top echelon with Pride, Current, and Spirit.
I watched this game live and poor Utah had no support from the commentators, especially the last 10 minutes. The guy was like, "Yeah, yeah, another passy poo from Utah, pass, pass, nothing out of it" then Orlando gets the ball, "BANDA WITH THE EXPLOSIVE SPEED YOU CAN'T STOP HER, ORLANDO IS THE BEST!" 😂 Utah's goalkeeper had a great game.
Poor Haught, what else could she do?
She made a couple of good saves, but overwhelmed, for sure.

Damn, the Royals got CRUSHED BAD!! I had a feeling that this would turn out this way because Orlando just have so many awesome players and the ability to work 2gether in such a way gets them many wins. They have a strong defense yet can make surprise counterattacks with Marta & Adrianna that get results.

-I didn't expected anything for Utha this year but one thing; Build up team, create chemistry, try to crat a style of play based on the player you have or can afford. Half the season and none of it is showing (total disarray).
a) you have a good keeper, start to build the defense first.
b) play to defend, all team defend (you'll lose but at least you are learning to defend)
c) Next, try connecting the defense and midfield.
d) Attacking can be bought next year (just like Orlando did)
Again, this is the year to learn...don't waste it.

Someone help me understand how the 3rd goal wasn’t reversed by Var. There was a foul and Orlando took a quick free kick but 12 yards up the field from the spot of the foul, doesn’t the free kick have to be within a close vicinity of where the foul occurred? You can’t see it on these highlights but I watched it back on the full replay on Prime and the ball rolls 12 yards up field from the foul spot. And the Orlando player walks up and kicks it to Banda.

This is why Utah royals is an expansion team. They have very slow players who do not hustle and make sloppy passes. I feel sorry for their coach Amy Rodriguez because as usual she will get the termination boot for the play of lousy players after this season.
Utah is such an embarrassing team for the league. It's like an amateur team. The only good defender is Del Fava. They need to replace basically the entire team, everyone is too slow in midfield as well.

Great game Orlando, but you did it against Utah --- the worst team in the nwsl. This will never happen against Champions Gotham. Banda couldn't do this against Nighswonger!
