My first year as a cast member. I loved this parade! Great memories. Thanks for sharing. I especially loved the music from the actual parade. The album version they sold was decent, but all of the characters chiming in with their parts in the parade was so much better.
I love the people at the end of the parade (08:33). Those boomers probably made a living wage just to hold a rope. and consumer confidence was so good that my guess is that the girl and one of the guys hooked up and started a family. that was the nature of the times.
We got paid about $3.85 per hour that summer. And we worked a split shift (2 hours on/ 2 hours off/ 2 hours back on) so only paid for 4 hours, 5 days a week.
0:51 I am the dancer in the pink jacket in the front of the parade! Loved this job!
Great to see you. I have so many photos and slides from the end of summer slide show that I have to digitize one of these days
