It is old--- it was released by Sting on his 1987 album "Nothing Like the Sun". Ren really likes Sting 😊 The Big Push broke up two (?) years ago when Ren went to Canada fir treatment of his Lyme Disease. Romain is still playing on the streets in Brighton, and releasing new music. Gorran has occasionally joined Romain, but spends most of his time traveling (currently Mexico and points south). Ren has done a fair bit of traveling for treatment, New York, Los Angeles, Belgium, and Germany. Not to mention back and forth to Canada.

Ren was an integral part of The Big Push, from beginning to end. The only lineup change, in the band's history, was right near the beginning, when the original trio (Ren, Romain, Gorran) brought in Glenn, on drums. Until then, whenever they'd needed drums, Ren had played them.
Nor was it a case of Ren, or any of the others, "going solo". All 3 frontmen had solo careers before, during and after the Big Push. They split, mainly, because Ren had to go to Canada, to undergo months of intensive medical treatment. He was eventually there for 18 months! The others all had other things, musical and otherwise, that they wanted to do too.
Ren released Hi Ren, just before his treatment was about to start. As you know, it blew up. It's now approaching 50 million views! Incredible for a fully independent artist. What's more, he could back it up, as he'd recorded most of his second album before leaving to begin treatment. He knew that he wouldn't be able to create as much during his treatment, so he'd prepared beforehand, a whole string of tracks that, one by one. With a few later additions, his second album was a hit! Ren became the first fully independent artist, to achieve a number 1 UK album! That album, "Sick Boi", also went top 10 in several other countries, topped the US hip-hop album chart and went to number 1 on the iTunes worldwide chart! Basically Ren's solo career skyrocketed around the same time that The Big Push ended. It wasn't calculated that way. He'd had a solo career for years before. In fact it took him completely by surprise! I think he was quite overwhelmed at first! :)
All 4 members have expressed a desire to get together again, some time in the future but Gorran's globally roaming nature, Glenn's newly married life and Ren's health, all conspire to make it difficult to predict when such a reunion will take place and what form it will take. Ren and Romain are in frequent contact and continue to collaborate on a fairly regular basis. :)

I just love it when I hear Ren just singing and picking that guitar. ♥It's a fantastic cover of Stings song. I think when Sting was still with the band The Police. I like this one better actually. The three of them together is always fun. They broke up just after Covid when Ren's illness got worse. Other people might have more and better comments and more info than I can.

❤❤❤ Love this cover. I hope Sting has seen it. They do such a great job.
Ren can not tour but he can travel. Usually at least one friend goes with him in case his health crashes on the way. He has been to new York to see doctors as well as was there last year with the guys for fun, then went to, I think, new jersey for a collab with the Artist Webby on his song Baggage, which is 🔥.

Ren can't tour due to his Lyme disease and autoimunity which he is not happy about because he loves live performances. But he has travelled quite a lot of the world especially North America and will be seeking new treatment in another country early in the New Year
