I have a fox in my neighborhood that's been taking care of the post Covid rat problem. He's a good boy and my cat has not come home injured from him ever. He does his job out there and we respect that as a community. It's like an unspoken rule to let the fox be.
We had one when I was young sometimes I would see him up in my treehouse with my cat as a child. Sadly one day we found him on the side of the road late in the evening.
This is what PSAs need to keep doing. Raw and shocking like they used to be. Thank you for this and amazing job to the animators that were able to perfectly show this visually.
This is not what they should be doing, blatant lying and selling you all the touchy feely stuff without the facts. Foxes are actually suffering far more because unlike here in the US where wildlife experts and people who know what they’re doing haven’t caved in to California wine moms and hippies who don’t understand… in the UK they have. As a hunter myself. This is what I try to get across to people about respecting the wild. Often I hear of ranchers slaughtering wolves and coyotes for killing their livestock when most of the time it's stray dogs. Most don't even try to think of a predator deterrence to dissuade them. ....most would slaughter the pups in their dens. The wolves keep the more than the deer population in check. They keep the other predators in the check. Without them the deer population explodes and with them so do the coyotes. We blame foxes for eating our chickens after we cleared the land and deprived them of food to place our coups. We are not a sane species.
We a perfectly sane, just not well raised. Personally I wouldn’t kill any animals I didn’t catch in the act, that’s if I had to kill one at all. This mindset the ranchers you’re talking have, that’s the problem.
I hate that people first steals wolves terratory and then kils them and their pups bc they ate the livestock bc humans stealed their hunting areas and with out eating the wolves would die to hunger
@@dsgsavcdbgggcgI feel most hunters respect the land as well as the animals they hunt. Of course like everything there are bad hunters as well who only hunt for sport. I hunt rarely but I definitely respect what it is I’m hunting, I mostly spearfish and it is honestly the best thing ever. I guess it’s good that I’ve always loved animals from when I was small.
It’s like this video was dished out to children… no one can spell “territory”, no one is citing sources or giving accurate portrayals or even being honest. Where are these “ranchers”? What county? Where is the evidence it’s stray dogs? What’s the rate recorded for bovine fauna killed in areas where venison is still present. We live in a county where they’ve been reintroduced, WOLVES, a far larger and hungrier species than a stray dog. The months that followed the reintroduction was the end of the stray dogs, they were killed. Ranchers have no reason to go looking for problems when our job is hard as it is. We have trail cams that clearly show wolves getting in, we also get to be actually educated on wolves since we didn’t start losing $18,000 worth every year until the DNR let us know they were reaching a stable growth rate, they don’t want to chase a deer and they won’t if they don’t have to, they’ll just kill baby cows, much bigger, much slower, and without repercussion because I’m evil for existing and not liking it. So please, some sources of when “most of the time it’s stray dogs” and how “most don’t even try to have predator deterrence” and which “most” would slaughter pups in their dens where they aren’t hurting anyone, since you’re apparently a hunter but forget those of us who do it to protect the way we make a living don’t actually get to run into the woods, we sit on our property and watch them try to get to my calves when we take the shot. I respect the wild, where it’s still wild. I don’t appreciate folk vilifying ranchers when we are the ones who try our hardest, spend the hours, the earliest mornings, the latest nights and thousands on helping find the solutions so these wolves who haven’t been part of our local ecosystems for almost half a century can find their strength again, while simultaneously us being the ones who lose the most from this AND get treated like we’re Disney villains. My family doesn’t shoot until we know it’s a wolf and which wolf did it, I’d appreciate it if you don’t go shooting ranchers until you’re concise of it being ranchers and which ones are doing these things

As a hunter I absolutely hate the idea of not only raising animals for the sole purpose of shooting them later, but punishing animals for taking advantage of the abundance of food thrown their way. Punishing an animal for being hungry isn’t right. It is cruel and shows a lack of regard for lives outside of our own. I only hunt for food and to help control our deer populations. After idiots like this killed off our wolves, blaming them for the deaths of livestock, the deer have began to over graze and overpopulate. With that comes disease, less healthy herds and destruction of ecosystems. We need wolves, coyotes, foxes, and many other predators to keep our ecosystems healthy. It is unfair for everyone to kill them for doing their job.
Absolutely I thinke there are so many ways to protect the livestock than shooting inocent wolf. Its just cheaper for them to do that insted of just building a decent fence. They dont consider the priceless cost to nature.

Hate how people kill wildlife for just trying to survive. People really need to try and put themselves in these poor animals shoes and think about how hard it might be to survive.
Very well drawn, I loved the animation, the animals moved well. Very good message, I hope it brings more awareness to what these beautiful animals go through.
This entire story reflects multiple accounts of "hunting just because you can" when it comes to extinct species. For example the caralina parakeet, the only parakeet native and once abundant in the eastern United States. These birds were hunted to extinction due to eating farmers crops and their beautiful feathers. Humans would abuse their complex social relationships by purposefully letting one suffer and scream, just for others to be attracted. All the birds wanted to do was help one of their injured kind, and they would end up shot and killed themselves. Over the course of just 200 years, these absolutely beautiful birds went from ~30 million to 0. They were declared extinct in 1939. Rest in peace, may one day you return.❤
Just imagine , hearing the sound of a gunshot nearby, the sound of birds fleeing, the sound of the forest shaking . Imagine trying to escape to what seems like a bombing. Fearing for your life. Hearing the sounds closing in on you. Then through all the struggle being stopped by a wire around your neck . Imagine you pulling as hard as you can to escape, but each time it grows harder and harder to breath. Imagine you being so weak, and taking so little breaths then hearing the sound of footsteps coming towards you. You fix your gaze on the person, trying to symbolize you want your life, to only be shot and killed in cold blood… Edit: Y’all don’t have to start a war

I really think this animation would have still hit hard if they kept to realism with the fox behavior. Human expression is cool and all, but I dont think most people realise how shocking a real animal caught in one of these traps acts. They will often times kill themselves before a person gets to them, chew into their limbs, break their necks, ect ect. You dont need human expression to convey the absolute terror an animal goes through getting trapped.

Animals aren't just creatures on the planet "we" live on, they're people too. We couldn't imagine treating our pets like people treat "pests". Every animal needs to be treated like the English royal family treats swans (it's illegal to kill or hurt them in any way).
@@BratacOfChulakThat's a whole different thing man, animals don't have morals like us, they go by instinct, if something happens to your pet by some other wild animal it's your own responsibility, if a coyote or something like that hunts it's probably because it's need it to survive. I find it heartbreaking this sells so well to children like you. The foxes are suffering from overpopulation… they have no natural predators, they’re actually the perfect animal for “hunts”. I think it should be a bit more sensible and humane, but they’re not endangered, they have no natural predators, they’re so densely populated that they’re migrating to urban areas and disease is rampant among them. The “gamekeeper” doesn’t kill them to protect a stupid sport, it’s his job to control the population so the healthy foxes can have a healthy environment. YES, there is a HUGE difference! Farmland defending is when an animal runs in and tries to kill YOUR animals and destroy YOUR farmland. It is no different than when an animal defends its territory from other intruding animals in the wild, you are just defending your home and sometimes, it sadly calls for shooting of said wild animals. Albeit quick shooting, having an animal bleed out or have their intestines exposed as they writhe is just wrong. Game/sport hunting, on the other hand, is PURELY for sport and nothing else. This animation is so good. It captures how sad and terrifying the situation is in the eyes of the fox. People need to be more humane. It’s so sad how people can do this to poor helpless animals. Now I kind of wonder if some of the “naturally dead” animals actually had a natural death. Of course taxidermists could probably tell but if you’re a taxidermist do you guys actually really check?

A hunter that respects the land...very rare.
Thank you to whoever made this and speaking about it. Its honestly very sad but hopefully not unchangable

After idiots like this killed off our wolves, blaming them for the deaths of livestock, the deer have began to over graze and overpopulate.

Some people in the comments going to be like “Hunting is natural for humans!” and “Killing for sport isn’t wrong at all!”. Killing for sport isn’t necessarily bad when you’re not wasting the bodies of the kill. Leaving it there and not even using the resources it gives is a waste of life. Disappointing that people do this and don’t care because “animals aren’t innocent.”, it’s a stupid argument. They don’t operate how humans do. They don’t have any rights or wrongs, they operate on instincts.

Foxes are beautiful creatures…they should NEVER and I mean NEVER be killed for their fur. Sure, it’s gorgeous, but that doesn’t mean you can kill it! Imagine if someone went up to you and said: You have really pretty hair!
You: oh, thank you!
Them: Can I have it?
You: Well um…I would rather keep it…
Them: But I want it *they grab your hair and start to rip it out of your head*
You: HEY! STOP IT! You’re hurting me! *you say while yelling and crying out in pain*
Them: YOU DON’T NEED IT! I WANT IT! *they continue pulling out your hair until you’re left on the ground, your head bleeding and you’re in a lot of pain*
This is what foxes would go through if they weren’t shot. It’s like being skinned alive or getting all of your hair pulled out. Don’t do it. @@A-TALKING-TOASTER 💀
Atleast its good to see that some people understand the difference between game hunting and defending your farmland in the comments, many people think that animals should never be killed which confuses me still.
It has NO reason to exist, and is INCREDIBLY dishonorable to the animals and environment. Not to mention, it’s incredibly cruel and torturous to said animals a lot of the time as they are being killed for NO REASON other than for fun.. plus, it gives TRUE hunters a bad rap! My family has plenty of hunters, and not ONCE would they EVER kill for any reason other than for food. Doing so would be murder, and disgusting. We respect the circle of life. We kill to eat, and *these* PATHETIC “people” kill for pleasure. We are not the same, and never will be.

down there should live Pumas ,wolves and bears even jaguars (yes Jaguars lived in the north too)
but humans killed them off or decreased the population
so its easy for opotunists to get out of hand
these thigns dont need a human hunter
they need the presence of an apexpredator
a hunter may kil la few and say he decimatet the population and just a few month later theyr as many as before if not more

@@OdysseyNaafiriThere is so-called "sport hunting". its essence is that people specifically raise an animal in an enclosure/cage or, using various methods, tame a wild animal to “serve” a person as a target for shooting. Next, animals that do not have or have forgotten the skills of camouflage, obtaining food and simply fear of humans are released from their cages into a specified area of forest amid noise and screams, in order to then create the illusion of “hunting”.
Let's all have a bug burger... That's where all this is headed- our WEF overlords want us to stop eating meat so they can keep pumping out iPhones and other BS. Consumerism isn't the problem, apparently... Nah, it's our thirst for meat that's destroying the world... 🤦😂 Give me a break

There's also been farmers protesting all over Europe about the different methods the authorities are putting in place to try and shut down agricultural farms- we just had another one of these protests in Italy this week! There is a war going on over food supply behind closed doors- WEF heavyweights have been buying up agricultural land all over the world. Bill Gates has become one of the biggest land owners in the States now as well. Once they have enough of the market under their control, they will be free to do what they like with pricing. Hunting is fine if people do it for food and clothing, its the natural and most ethical way to get meat. Releasing birds to then shoot them isn't hunting, its playing a game with life. They kill animals because they have fun killing and it should be outlawed.
