Hi from Tampa Bay! Me as well! When I trim my Dutchman’s pipe vine…. I check, check, check, and check again for swallow tail caterpillars! I have clipped a vine with a caterpillar, when I’ve done that, I place the vine and leaf in the dense part so the Caterpillar will be safe.
I did the same thing in hot weather. Mine too is very wilty and droopy, I’ve been told it’s just in shock and it’ll be OK with plenty of water. I’m praying 🙏🏼 mine will be ok. I’d love to hear the status of yours. 🤞🏼
Good morning Charlene 😄 Yes! We have over 20 native species of milkweed in Florida. There at least 5 species that you can usually find at native nurseries. Swamp milkweed and Butterflyweed being the most popular

I just transplanted some that I had on my property. It's very wilty so I'm hoping it makes it!❤

Good morning I have a question about hosta dividing when is a good time to do I’m in fla too.what month should I do it,thank you
I transplanted some milkweed and it's very wilty. What do I do?! I gave it a good watering but wondering if that was wrong?
Check if the soil is moist or dry one inch down. If it is moist great if it is dry, give it a longer drink.
@@WildFloridian thank you!
So what kind of milkweed do you recommend for NE Florida?
Swamp Milkweed or Butterflyweed would be the best to try in NE Florida.
I'm trying to decide if I can transplant milkweed from one area of the garden to another. Should I wait until Fall?
Does Milkweed grow wild in Florida?

But don't fall victim to the box stores and their milkweed... I Don't think it is ever native
