Nice man! My hair is incredibly similar to yours and I am Asian as well. I usually do the bun as well but have recently been getting super bored with it just this year. With my straight Asian hair there’s really not much options for me, so I’ve recently started getting my hair braided and I must say, it’s a game changer. I braided my hair last week and received a bunch of compliments at work and at the gym, I got approached by these 2 girls at the gym too 😂😂😂. It gave me a completely different look. I would definitely suggest you try out different types of braids. Braids look pretty cool on us Asian men. I even learned how to braids my hair. It really gives a cool Viking-like look.

I have a quick question tho, do you trim the top and if you do how often do you have to trim the top? I’ve been getting mixed answers and I still wanna let my long hair keep growing but some people been saying do it every couple months, some say maybe yearly but idk tbh
I’ve never trimmed the top once in the past 5 years. I honestly probably should’ve but it’s been fine for me. I do get my sides cut every 2-3 weeks or so

@@LevitateStyle. My ideal length is mid stomach length as well. Mainly so I can cut and donate the bottom half, and still good length to spare for myself. Do you intend to keep growing longer than what it currently is?
Been growing mine for 3 years. I started April of 2019. Before I had to get part of it trimmed because of leftover bleach damage, it was at the bottom of my shoulder blades. I'm still determined to get it down to my stomach.
@@LevitateStyle. Yes. In 2019, I had it bleached platinum blonde while it was growing out from a disconnected undercut. All of the color is gone now, and I intend to keep my normal color.

I think anyone can pull off the man bun and worth a try. IF you are worried about your hairline then search for photos and see how that looks
