When I was in school I had a friend whose parents were both chefs. They gave a flying f about what they‘d eat at home. It was mostly convenience food and even for Christmas they just made, the classical german chrismtas eve meal, potato salad with some frankfurters.
They ran a lot of b-roll during the video though, which is typically how b-roll is used...Joshua is just a cutie with his slowmo b-roll only segments near the end.
You become overweight by loosing control of your food, and letting it dictate your eating habits. Being a chef is the exact opposite of that: complete control over your food.

You guys are smart to interview him. This guy’s already a legend yet the sky’s the limit. Additionally a big part of his appeal is his down to earth relatability. So this video going through what he typically eats is a perfect choice for subject matter.
There have been a number of RUclips star chefs - but none like Josh. Sure, he has relatability, charisma, humour and all of those things -- but when it comes to cooking? His pretensions and passions are sincere and he doesn't fake it. He clearly *knows* how to cook. That is never in doubt. And with most of the other RUclips wannabes? Hearing him shout-out Austin makes my heart so happy! There's seriously such a variety of just... great quality, interesting eateries, and it makes it a lot of fun to explore. Lockdown sucks right now in good part 'cause it's putting a lot of those restaurants at risk.... many have already closed.

It happens.. but I figured the pandemic was a good opportunity to take off the weight, get back to exercise & my love of fabulous food and the incredible people who prepare it. I’M BACK.. yay.. weight off, feeling strong again! My video watching has changed too.. I’m all about food travel and healthy real food again. So here comes a suggested video and in walks this really interesting chef, who I didn’t know (it’s embarrassing.. I admit) but really want to learn about now. Fun video! And when he said he’d travel all over for a really good shot.. I was all in!

Started watching josh's videos on FB and have so much respect for him, really great teacher and cook, but so humble and down to earth. This dude really inspired me to take cooking a little more seriously and learn to love making delicious food.
He's just so damn likeable!! As someone else who cooks online, he's one that I love watching. His personality just shines through and he deserves all this attention!
I love Joshua be have watched all of his videos up to this one. And have made many of his recipes. I also love the fact that he is welcoming to everybody and does not discuss politics. Just a good soul that wants us all to eat and live well.
