Really enjoyed the Likely Lads series. I still think James Bolam's best role was in Alan Plater's "The Beiderbeck triliogy" on BBC1. If you haven't seen it, you've missed a gem. it's an absolute joy of understated, gentle comedy.
They actually fell out over comments Rodney Bewes made in a TV interview about James Bolam's private life. Sadly, when Bewes was dying, he'd hoped for reonciliation, but Bolam didn't want anything to do with him.

Watched the original series when they worked in the factory and was delighted when The Likely Lads returned 😂
Bolam was absolutely fantastic, apparently they both hated each other, but you would never of guessed, an absolute classic situation comedy 👍😉
