    Awesome video! My favorite type of fishing. Exploring backcountry creek mouths for big snook and red fish in my Outback on an outgoing tide. Thank you.

      It definitely adds another factor to the fight with those big fish. The tiller trolling motors are fun

      There is so many in the mangroves it’s unreal. Go to google maps and take a peek. Any mangrove line has at least a couple, pretty crazy stuff.

    Nice work as always! What are the particulars on your skiff (i.e. length, beam and draft)? You are certainly getting into those super skinny spots(Gheenoe skinny) that your bird wouldn't think of even reaching. Tight lines!

    • @christian_masterson
      @christian_masterson  6 месяцев назад

      It’s a boggy creek skiff 14 micro. 13’10 , beam 63 inches, draft 4 inches, weighs 300 pounds. It can get basically anywhere. I’m beating the heck out of it. Has a V too so I think it takes chop a bit better then a Gheenoe. I have 0 complains.

    • @FLplinker
      @FLplinker 6 месяцев назад +1

      @christian_masterson nice, those kind of numbers really let you get back deep into the skinny stuff. I've been thinking about moving up from 167 C/K Egret to either an HB Marquesa or 19' Egret Moccasin and get a 13' Nano for the same thing you're doing. Thanks for the details. Tight lines.

      @@FLplinker I will say, the 19 egret is unreal. Handles chop like nothing and can fish in 7-8 inches. Also great for long runs, 56 gallon tank. I’ve done a 100+ mile trip and only had to put 30 gallons in the next time haha.

    • @FLplinker
      @FLplinker 6 месяцев назад +1

      @christian_masterson the Egrets are a tough platform to beat for what you get. My 167 is very dry and I made the run from the Port of the Islands to Flamingo on a tank (42 gallons) plus 5 gallons with additional fishing detours. Just looking for a little comfort for the wife and not lose too much fish ability for me and the boys. That's where I'm thinking about adding another small skiff to the fleet.
