I don't blame the family for being upset. To not return information w/the deceased social security number on it to the family or actually shred or burn it so that no one can use it is actually irresponsible & very unprofessional. Somebody needs to be held accountable for this. And it leaves me to wonder how many other this has happened to as well but have went unfounded?🤔

This is an Unspeakable act and a disgusting one that should NOT go without punishment. Great job to the family for doing what they can about this unfortunate situation and I am sorry for the daughter's loss. What a tragedy.

The casket was rented for viewing purposes! People thinking that the mother wasn't buried in a casket! No, she wasn't buried in a casket! She was cremated. Ths casket was used to display the loved one in a state for viewing, before cremation. Not rocket science. Also, there is no way that cremated remains would fit in an envelope! Remains fit inside of a 5x5x5 inch box.
My Sister-In-Law was cremated and the viewing was her in her urn ⚱️.

@@veronicasimpson2453 I listened to the video again and it said that in addition to the other items in the casket it had an envelope that had possibly contained her ashes but it was no longer the case. The deceased woman's daughter said the family actually had the ashes. The casket was only rented by the family for her viewing, she was not buried in it.

Of course, if you buy a casket, it should never be reused. It's kind of disturbing about the Covid issues as well. I doubt there could be any contamination at this point, but it's not pleasant to think about. But so happy the family got the records back.

I feel is was not necessary to involve the media on such a personal and sensitive matter. Why do people do this??? They had the information to locate the family and could have dealt with it privately. The fact they publicly showed this deceased woman's picture on social media, news report and the family of the woman on the news tells me they all have no brains, empathy or respect.
Because this information needs to get out. This funeral home needs to be exposed for this. The lack of respect for the body and sensitive documents floating around is negligent. This will help people be more diligent with their loved ones.
