I'll be giving your idea a go. Thanks for the tip . One of my favourite tricks is to heat a tin of Heinz vegetable soup, then drop a preheated beef or steak pie into the soup and enjoy ! Also using the same method I get a tin of Asda's thick pea soup and drop one or two (depending on size) sausage rolls in and enjoy . Yummo ! Both good tasty and quick meals . Especially in the winter time . BTW ,Tesco are currently stocking the Heinz Cream Of Tomato & Basil Soup .
What a SOUP-erb review and combination, Steve! Tomato Soup is already top tier but I agree, adding Basil just makes it better still. I always dip buttered bread into my soup but grilled cheese on toast just sounds godly. Keep up the great work, Sir!
No offence taken - but it was lovely to see and speak to you again! You're right, your face I remembered because I had watched one of your videos only the day before... but mine, you hadn't seen it for a year! You didn't take that long to remember who I was though! As I said, we will have to make it a yearly christmas tradition to bump into each other whilst shopping for a chat!
Cant argue for a quid a can on offer. Cream of tomato with basil sounds much nicer than just the tomato and basil standard soups you usually see. Which are just like pasta sauce and having that as soup. Ill definitely get some if i see it. Youll have to try buying a standard tomato with basil soup. The one like i said is more like pasta sauce. Then adding cream to it and maybe a bit of milk. See if you can do a reverse of when you added basil to cream of tomato.
Good one today Steve, but you are funny sometimes, I thought everyone ate cheese on toast with tomato soup. Basil, and tomatoes is combination made in heaven, oregano is good, but basil is better.😊
I will stick to the Sainsburys version at 62p I've had that a few times in the past Heinz soup is out of my price range as I'm very poor. Even the prince of thieves M & S only charge 65p for a tin of soup what about reviewing two soups in one the chicken and mushroom flavour I'm sure will like it if you have not had it before.

I like your idea Matt but cream is so expensive nowadays, it probably costs more than the soup!

Judging by the comments here, it seems I'm not the only one who's never tried this combo.
