English:
Whose lament will be answered; who will attain the destination?

Khud sy bhaagay jaa rha hu khud ko jhutlata hu mai;
Door hojata hu sabse tou tjhay paata hu mai..

Iztaraab e Ishq mai dil sy sada aayay khuda;
Jo likha qirtaas p suu-e-falak pohnchay ga kia.
English
The heart, dear God, crippled in the pangs of ecstatic love cried out,
Will the word of lament inscribed on the paper have the flight to reach the Heavens?
Urdu:
Mai hu ramz-e-baynishaan aur tu hy zaat e laamakaan;
Jaagtay din mai ayaan, dhaltay suraj mai nihaa’n.
English:
A figment of indistinction am I, while spatiality do You transcend;
Conspicous am I only in the daylight, while effulgent You are even at the dusk.
