Do you get into hardware protection? I personally never have, however, I will leave on the protective stickers that come with a bag until they peel off 😂
I’m trying this brand from Amazon because I didn’t want to wait too long to protect. I know how the hardware on this style bag can get scratched quickly.

So happy you got these! I used the same hardware protectors on my PM a few months back, and they’re still mostly intact. I only lost one of the small circle stickers protecting a rivet, but I wasn’t too concerned about that part. They’re time-consuming to install, but totally worth it for the protection!

This was not boring at ALL!!!! This is really good to know for people buying a brand new bag & being concerned about scratches over time. If I had known about that when I first started collecting I very likely would have gotten that for some of my hardware. I hope everyone who is starting their handbag journey catches this video. the issue is that if the protectors are left on they can, over time get really stuck to the hardware, and destroy the finish. Ive seen it happen a few times in my 30 years working in luxury resale.
Thank you for the heads up on that. I wouldn’t want that to happen. Is there a type of film you’ve seen this happen with? I consider these to be similar to the mileage stickers put on my car window after car maintenance. They adhere to the glass but not in a sticky way. I hope that makes sense.
I heard that we suppose pill stickers of the hardware of the gags (that usually come with new bags) because the hardware will tarnish or change colour over time
Hi, thanks for mentioning that. I’ve heard it too. Idk if there is a difference between the short-term use stickers and long term ones or not. It’s a risk, ultimately. I have been evaluating if I want to remove this for this reason.

My previous pochette metis got extremely scratched up too. I didn’t even have it for very long so that’s why I decided on this. It was oddly enjoyable putting the protectors on 😊
