Listen to the sound effect when Rong slaps Ling, it’s actually applied as the sound effect in traditional Chinese martial movies esp when someone is badly hit by a kungfu master’s op skills. So, yes, rong is savage af. 😂
When it comes down to it, the Dowager Empress was the most corrupt one there. She knew everything that was going on and swapped sides frequently to benefit herself. She is why Ruyi spent 3 years in the Cold Palace, she supports Ling to Ruyi's detriment, and yet joins in happily to destroy Ling.
Ling has no family backing, so she wants Empress Dowager to become her backer. Thing is, this doesn't mean Empress Dowager trusts Ling. She is useful for now, that's all. Empress Dowager doesn't hesitate to turn her back on people or dispose of her pawns when needed. She is the most shrewd out of all of them; that's why she lived the longest and kept her position the longest.
@@RavenSutcliffe Sadly, at the end it was Empress Dowager who delivered the final blow to to end her. If I was Consort Ling, I would kill everyone standing in my way to power even the Emperor and Empress Dowager. Consort Ling should learn from Wu Zetian.
I am a 'Westerner" (an Italian American woman of 72), and for years I have enjoyed and admired things Asian - (from China/Japan/Korea): be it literature, films, television dramas such as these. I am enjoying this series a great deal, I admit. However, as an English teacher I feel compelled to ask: Why must you use the modern terms: BITCH and ASSHOLE in the translation of your chapter summaries? These words are profanity - and downright disrespectful. This is a beautifully presented costume-period drama with many plots and subplots. You are using contemporary slang, street language. What is your reason for this? Do you wish to draw more viewers? "See how naughty I am, hah hah.." I assure you, you're mistaken. I have chosen to simply watch the episodes and ignore the gutter words. Excellent drama and all bad manners does detract from what the video is presenting - an impressive historic narrative of court intrigue and deep human emotion. It stands on its own. It doesn't NEED language like that - the work should speak for itself. If my critique offends you, I am glad. Perhaps you'll think about the way in which you have titled these.
I'm very late to reply but the title autotranslates to those words thanks to Google. In Chinese it's nowhere near as vulgar and simply describes what happens. A better, more accurate transliteration (not 100% accurate since my Chinese isn't that great, to be fair) of the title would be "The scheming murder of Consort Shu was exposed, and Ruyi arrested her! Unexpectedly, the scheming woman turned to join the Queen Mother and she escaped death!" It's more than likely "consort" was translated as some of the vulgar words in the title. I hope this helped!
Hahahaha, Rong Fei should wear a flipper in her hand while slapping Consort Ling🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Slapping with both sides of her hand, Rong Friday is savage!

Rongpei enjoys her work. 🤭🤭🤭🤭
I only counted 8 slaps. And doesn't the Empress' skin look perfect?
I though I was the only one counting lmao I need Rong Fei to give those 2 slaps left !
I hate that empress dowager slightly wants to use consort ling. But damn it, I wanted ling to be punished for what she did.

Oh it's coming she's going to get punished you just have to keep her find it in here she's really going to get punished really
Who would trust consort ling to not betray them or do something they don't want after what she had done.

Ronpei was punch-slapping Ling; that sounds like it HURT!
容嬷嬷扇玲妃耳光为啥用的武打片儿中拳中掌的音效,看来容嬷嬷也是手上有功夫的人。😂😂
happiest moment of the epi 12:40 !!!!!!
This is the funniest comment lol! Yes, so satisfying to watch her get her karma!!
I wonder why Consort Ling didn't kill Empress Dowager after this?
She went through all that to get Empress Dowager as a backer since she has no family power of her own. Why would she kill her? She needs her.

What a transparent nose bridge, always draw my attention away.
Fix her up Rong Pei.
Oooo...she’s bleebin. 😂 She needed a few fist across her jaws, too. 😂
