I love this song so much, if they were a little more popular or from a bigger company this song would be a hit.. it's the perfect song for the summer. It's okay if you prefer them doing concepts like deepeened but this is summer, people rarely release slow songs in summer. Please support them if you can and quit complaining. Thanks!!!
Actually their boss is a big name in the industry (Brave Brothers) and they were quite popular back in 2011. (Their debuts and succeeding comebacks on that year placed quite high on music charts, Nowadays You went to #6 on Music Bank on one episode) Until they literally had no comebacks for like 5 years, and Brave Bros focused on projects for AOA and various groups. And they also had a big member change for Deepened.
No idea, but they had a single back in 2013 with For You, there were no news that the group was disbanding or losing members, but only Hyeran and Yoojin had a part in the single. With their comeback with Deepened, it was confirmed that the other 3 left the group. I believe that Brave Brothers thought that it would be hard to promote them as a group with only 2 members. Aside from Brave Brothers focusing on production with various groups, I do not have that much on an idea why a comeback took this long.

These girls really should have promoted "Whatever." It's the perfect song to come after Deepened. Brave Brothers were just scared to promote it. They thought that by changing the song into something that sounds like an AOA song, it would automatically help them. Nah, Brave Girls need better promotions. If Deepened had better promotions, it would have done well on the charts or at least with the general public. It's a song I can easily imagine hearing in a drama when the characters are in a mall or something. Their comeback back then wasn't even hyped up. It's so annoying but I still wish them success. Hopefully, in the future they will be able to go back to that style.
But the fact that big artists are promoting at the same time is not helping, the promotions could be the best but last time Taemin and Mamamoo were promoting and this time Sistar, Taeyeon, Wonder Girls...
I get that and I'm not saying that if they had good promotions that they can easily beat out the veterans. But good promotions will help them do reasonably well given their status. KNK isn't beating out the veterans but they are rising because they're being promoted really well and they have a solid growing fanbase. With guy groups it's a bit different but you get the gist, hopefully. If the promotions are indeed the best then they can still be successful while not exactly beating out the veterans but Brave Entertainment does not promote them well in the first place. A song is just a song until the right company promotes it to become a hit.

People who always say "deepened is better" can gladly leave the fandom anytime or just go watch the deepened repeatedly, do that. don't comment on every performance of high heels that yoi prefer deepened cos honestly no one fucking cares and that wouldn't change anything. God, why can't fans just support Brave Girls?!
