What an interesting premise! It sounds like it deals with a lot of issues relating to women's bodies and motherhood in a very unique way.

I did not mention that in the video but I absolutely agree! There are many instances where the hen has to decide how to take control of her life and body and how other animals react to it. It's a great parallel to what is going on surrounding the issues related to women's bodies.

From your review it seems that the hen found a purpose for her life. That makes her fly beyond her caged position. Only laying eggs throughout the life is a kind of boredom. Yeah, it can be related to human life in a way.

Thanks for your comment! The hen's life is certainly devoid of control or anything meaningful in the beginning of this novel and she sort of is able to regain control later on. I think this speaks to many people out there!
