As a former optician I was used to hearing people say that it had been 4 5 or 10 years since they last had their eyes checked but not too many your age saying they had never had their eyes examined before. But I assume until now you never felt you had any reason to need your eyes checked. Of course you were very wrong about that because if you were seeing okay you had no idea if your eyes were healthy or not. Anyway not being able to see things at a distance was enough to finally get you to make an appointment to get your eyes checked. It was very clear to me that your nearsighted and the outcome would have you wearing glasses and most likely fulltime. I'm not surprised that you were really struggling trying to make out the letters on the eyechart and I have feeling you were only seeing letters on the upper half of the chart. Just so you know the second line from the bottom is the 20/20 line which is considered as perfect eyesight. Once you get your glasses you need to wear them whenever you're driving even if it's only around the block. I think you're going to be surprised at how blurry things are going to be once your eyes get adjusted to your glasses. I see you have extremely long lashes and that is going to be a problem wearing glasses. This video is from 3 weeks ago so by now you should have your glasses. I;m going to check out your recent video to see if your wearing glasses now.

Most doctors don't like being filmed doing their exams. That includes optometrists (eye doctors) i know this because I was an optician and our doctor would insist on a patient not do any filming. So she was lucky she was able to film her eye exam. I only wish she would have had her camera aimed at the eyechart so I could see which line she was able to see.
