They've published version 2.135 a few days ago but when you open it, its just the same as the previous Aug version. Assuming the October (Version 2.134) was a woopsie moment.
Power BI rolled back the update. The next day it went back to the August version and the dark mode disappeared. I couldn't find anything that explains why they did this. we will have to wait.

Yes, I think it was a mistake, and they released it earlier than planned. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait and hope the update gets released soon.
