If Wayne expected Jay to look out for him in terms of appointing him as the SuperBowl headliner based on him previously paying his taxes then he was wrong for that. He paying Wayne’s taxes is a personal thing. Appointing the SuperBowl headline is much bigger than his personal relationships. Things a giant corporation Denis working for and it’s his duty to appoint who is best for that corporation while keeping it hip hop. Him bringing on a hip hop artist for the Super Bowl is giving back to the culture enough.

The Super Bowl only ventured into " large " musical half time performance after In Living Color intentionally stole the half time TV audience .
