    Hi Spencer, I’m currently in Junior year of high school and I really want to a play college soccer but my family come from Vietnam and don’t have enough money to play club soccer. I’m just wonder if I can go college just playing high school, with out playing club ?? (Sorry for my English)

    • @Kevin-bp5qu
      @Kevin-bp5qu Год назад +1

      Yes you can, just lowers your chances because the more games you accumulate at a high level is important, especially if your high school level isn’t very competitive or things of that sorts.

    • @SpencerMoeller
      @SpencerMoeller  Год назад +4

      Definitely possible, but the competition at the high school level is usually far inferior to club. Record as much footage as you can, network with a few agencies, understand the different college leagues we have in the states and you’ll have a good opportunity to play here👊🏻

    Hey Spencer! I am a huge fan of these “A Day In The Life”… videos and absolutely love men’s college soccer. Quick constructive criticism though, it would be great to see more of the player’s personality through the video. Allow them to joke around or have some personality. (which i’m sure is up to the player as well). But it seems like every video is the same with the player going “Hey guys it’s..” You could suggest to them some better opening lines or let them joke around a little bit. Maybe even some mic’d up action. (Akin to the USMNT Mic’d Up videos on their RUclips channel) Again, big fan! Can’t wait to see more.

    I find myself frequently lamenting on the past, considering how far I would be in my football journey if I kept playing and took it seriously. I picked up a football recently, at 20 years old, because of an anime series called "Blue Lock" and it's so fun to just grind and get better at something. I'm only 20 so if I grind like crazy, I could probably even play overseas in like half -full decade, but that'd probably require me to drop college and just play football everyday which is likely not an option so it is what it is.

      I also regret it a lot, I'm Brazilian and I went to the base of Corinthians (One of the biggest clubs in Brazil and birthplace of many respected stars and world champions, but I ended up leaving it aside to play video games and enjoy with friends, I am sad to know that I could be playing as a professional athlete and even being a high-level player in an international tournament.

      U can't do it in 5-10 years, my son started playing at 2 years and 2 months he got picked up by a pro club when he's 18 and he played everyday, so that basically sums it up

    • @rickyGman11
      @rickyGman11 7 месяцев назад

      This is exactly why the level of football in the us is so low. Mate, if you haven't been playing football since you could literally walk, you're not going anywhere, end of story period. The problem with the us and football is the us believes too much in athleticism and that "hard work and grit can have you overcome anything". This might work for some of your sports like basketball which is literally be tall (Siakam picked up a basketball at 18 and is playing in the nba, and I'm sure for a lot of the european players in the nba, basketball was second to football), but this will never be the case in football. The amount of GOOD players who became pro and they were late bloomers are a handful, and even in those cases they've been playing football since they were children but never joined an academy, or an organized team. Football is one of the sports where you either have the talent and ability or you don't simple as that, it's a harsh reality but it is what it is.

    Minor soccer, not interesting to watch for an European. Focus on school or your national sports (baseball, basketball,...). So much fine professionalism, but all this effort to get to the "top league" MLS and not even be able to make a pass and understand nothing about tactics? Time wasted.
