    For future advice, little blocks of wood under the rim just to prop it up some off the table will help with the having to push the spoke toward the hub and pulling on it. Having the wood under the left/right side of rim will allow things to loosen up a bit

      Ok! I tried it and my spokes are a little too long- (3-4mm). 19" excel rim, aftermarket hub. Tusk spokes and nipples. Already bottomed out spokes with tips poking out before I fully tightened them. The spokes are the same length as the originals. It must be the hub is not spec'd correctly. Any fixes for that???

    Hi Cameron, thanks for your video, ive watched your other video on truing too. Im doing it right now and i confess im having alot of trouble. The back wheel is out of round and even when lossening spokes on one side completely, and tightening the other, i just cant get it to react. Should i relace the spokes again? Maybe i have made mistake with the long spokes and short ones?

    • @CameronNiemela
      @CameronNiemela  6 лет назад

      Yes, it is possible to mix them up. Confirm you have the spokes laced properly and make sure you're tightening the spokes on the correct side when truing.

    Should you check offset before trueing to be sure you set the indicator bar? in theory, you could be offset to one side but the rim is straight. How do you check it for center?

  • @gtgromer5232

    Hey Cameron, want to powdercoat my hubs, just wondering if I get a torque spoke wrench instead of just a spoke wrench, would the wheel be good if they were all torqued to the same spec?

  • @MotoMarvmtb
    @MotoMarvmtb 6 лет назад

    • @CameronNiemela
