Hello everyone!
We stayed at this super cozy cabin for Buku's birthday. I wasn't prepared much for a video shoot. So Sorry about the audio quality in advance. I forgot my mic at home and used the on camera mic. I tried to do my best with EQ and some other audio moves. It sounds alright. Nothing special as expected.
It was such a relaxing weekend. I actually fell into sleep many times while editing this video. Just looking at some scenes makes me relax.
Everyday I am getting one step further from tech debates on internet about gear. Almost all photography and video channels are so excited about comparing gear. I am sure if I started doing comparison videos, this channel could triple in size quickly. I feel like it is not my thing. I don't enjoy comparing anything in life. Cameras, lenses, cars, guitars, people... It can be a very deep hole that can suck you in. You can get lost in small details and forget to enjoy every moment.
I love using any type of gear I can get my hands on and enjoy my time as much as possible. If I like the experience I continue using it, If I don't I simply move on to something else. There is no reason to be frustrated or lose time.
All cameras are great lately. Find the one you like and stop comparing your camera with others. This method saved me so much time in life. Currently I enjoy using R6 but it doesn't mean it is the greatest camera I tried. I just enjoy using it and that's about it. Nothing too serious.
Since day one, we focused on one simple thing for our videos:
Let's Capture the special moments and reflect how it felt as much as we can.
Thank you for the support and I hope you are having an amazing day!
Best,

Beautiful video!! The video quality looks fantastic!!
My favorite shot was @2:17 the light there is just amazing. But @2:11 I gotta give props to the baby goat! SO CUTE!
They were so cute! We couldn't leave them for an hour :)
Great video!
Thank u!
Great video. I thought about buying that lens for my R6. Around timeline 3:21-3:25 I heard an Acorn Woodpecker. Awesome! I am an avid birdwatcher and photographer.
Thank you! Great catch! Woodpeckers were non stop in day time :) We saw incredible birds especially on day 2. I wish I knew more about birds!
That's some really beautiful footage and editing! :)
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome! Thumbs up!
Thank u Peter!
Einfach nur Klasse !!!
Really great videos, but did you turned on the IS when shooting? Can you maybe notice obvious wobbling when handheld moving?
Thanks! IS was off on all shots
@@barparildar i've seen lot of your videos, but those shoots with rf 15 35, i can see most of scenes were taken on tripods, only few scenes are shot handheld without IS, so I guess it do have really huge wobbling when shooting. :) Thank you for the reply!.
@@ranboleo9339 No worries. There are no Full Frame cameras having IBIS and no wobble with super wide angle lenses at the moment.
@@barparildar I've seen your rf 16mm lens video as well, with that one, i can see you move a lot, but some scenes seem quite shaky.
@@ranboleo9339 no IS used on that one as well. I don’t use IS for anything wider than 20mm
awesome video!
Which are the black pro mist you use? 1/4? thx!
Thanks! For this video I used 1/2 as mentioned in description
@@barparildar thx!
Do you think the rf 14-35mm could have given you the same shot at a cheaper price?
That trip was shot in very dark environment in general. It would he challenging to use an f4 lens. Also at the moment I shot this there was no 14-35mm
How do you get that cinematic look ?
I think most important thing for me is light. I try shooting in good light
Loved it. I can feel that it was fun to make and that y'all had a good time. Love that color grade too. Very nice.
Hey Thanks so much! It was a short but pretty relaxing getaway for sure!
Is there a way to not hear the autofocus ? Wow
That’s not the autofocus sound you hear. It is pretty much all my hand noises picked up by the on camera mic. And that’s the reason I included that on description. Forgot my mic at home. Most of this was shot on manual focus
loved this man. Keep it up.
Thanks, for watching Zachary!
what a beautiful bday weekend ✨🙏🏻✨
Beautiful Cinema, This is the Life.
Thank you for watching!
Dope! Did you use and filter too?
Thanks! Pro Mist was on all shots
Müthişsiniz.FX3 bekliyoruz.
I watched your videos years ago on R6 then I got it cause your videos looked amazing.
Although, I'm struggling to use the c log 3, I don't really know how to expose it. Could you recommend me a channel where I can learn?
Also, you're videos look very natural, is something I aimed in photography and I'm still wondering how I can do it in filmaking. I would love to learn it
Hey! Thanks for your kind words. I would highly suggest using histogram while exposing for any type of log footage. The key to a a good image is having as much data as possible in histogram. I try to expose where there is all shadow, midtone and highlight detail. If it is too dark and histogram is all the way to the left, you will have a lot of noise and no information to edit. Same for exposing too much to the right. It is a constant battle for me. Every scene I carefully try having my histogram balanced and also try not to overexpose highlights. Once you start checking histogram everything gets easier in time.
What a beautiful video. I like the song at the end very much.
Thank you so much for watching!
I'm trying to chose between a handful of cameras but the only conclusion I got to is that you own all of them and you go to all the cabins 🤔😂
I actually only own one camera at the moment. Lucky enough to be sent long term loaners for a different project. Only one I own at the moment is R6
Nice thing!
Thanks!
able to share how you expose your shots for canon R6? I am on the R5, like the exposures you nail. Are u just using the zebras at +-35%?
Hi! I am using both Zebras and Histogram to set exposure. I keep highlight zebras at 100% to check clipping
great video, did you use sound design?
Thank u! All sound used was captured with on camera mic
Очень классно!!!
Did you swap Fujifilm X-T4 for Canon R6?
Fuji cameras I use are all loaners. Technically never owned any Fuji cameras. I use them from time to time when they are sent to me.
i love your style of filmmaking i feel like we have the same style, minimalist and nature :) glad to see that
Do you have any issues with shadow noise in c-log3? Doesn’t look like it judging from this video. But wondering if you have experienced it and if there is something I am doing wrong?
Beautiful video by the way 🤙
Thank you Darpino! In general, shadow noise is very common for any type of log. It is extremely important to expose shadows correctly. I try to do my absolute best when shooting in clog3. Exposing to absolute highest without crushing the highlights is all I can recommend. If there is super high contrast I let some highlights to blow to have less noise in shadows
@@barparildar Gotcha. Thanks for the response. I don’t have nearly as much trouble with C-log (regular). But then again there is more contrast. It just seems like I’m getting way more than I should. I’ve shot with VLog on Panasonic and Film with the BMPCC 4K and neither were as noisy. It’s almost like I’m shooting in 8 bit. Very confusing. 🤣
@@darpinomedia9619 I can understand the frustration. It is probably due to low dynamic range on R6. I don’t bother trying if light is not good. You are using iso 800 right?
@@barparildar Yea, I’ve tried all kinds of settings. Luckily I still love regular c log and the r6. 😀
Fantastic color work!
Thank you!
Did you use luts?
Yes
@@barparildar Please which one? Thnx a lot
@@info-vodice I create my own luts
