I was obsessed with Wes and Big Dumb Face when I was 13. Saw them live.
Jealous. What was the reception of BDF like live back when they dropped Duke? I didn’t get into Wes until years later and also love BDF, but I found a live performance of them playing Blood Red Head in a club in the early 00’s and the crowd looked pretty dead :/
@@Scooby_Dum For sure some people were expecting a more Limp Bizkit-esque band and were confused were they came out in speedos, face paint and the like. I was already a big Ween fan and Wes told magazines that's who inspired him to do this type of music, so some people got it and some didn't.

In a recent interview Fred said that Limp Bizkit were never really friends and I thought it mighta been possible for a minute, but now I don’t believe that at all.
Yeah they were amazing friends. Wes and Fred use to fight a ton tho. They’re like brothers, their bond is super big these days.
