I find it really good. The thing is, its a prequel. So obviously for the story to make sense in the previous games, a lot of the stuff was needed to be left out from the game...also it makes sense why fights are a bit easier. Humans are quite new to the planet, so the creatures arent accustomed to them yet, compared to the older lost planet games. Its not as good as Tomb Raider 2013, but simmilarly enjoyable and fun and stuff. Reminds me of that game for some reason with its story and environments and athmosphere.
you mean hard to hate and easy to love, I finally found a brand new copy! so stoked, this game feels and plays amazing, just not for frantic picky fps players
I loved Lost Planet 2! The third person shooting mechanics may be out of the norm and felt weird, but as I kept playing, I realized how awesome and addicting the combat was. The reviewers just didn't play the game long enough or they just complained at how it didn't have a cover system like every other third person shooter out there and the shooting mechanics just weren't current-gen third person-like.
I do like this game. It goes kinda to feeling of lp 1 in the sense of you bieng on your own and you have to watch your back all the time. The story in this is better than lp 2 because there are actually characters with names. A few down points are the boss battles and some bad lip sinking. The bosses are to easy to kill .the multiplayer is really entertaining and i can play for hours. Teamwork is needed to succeed . There may not be many maps or gametypes but its enough for hours of fun. 8/10
4:00 Um, this game is BEFORE Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, so E.D.N.III has not lost all it's Thermal Energy from it's core. Thus in Lost Planet 3, the planet is not as colder, & there is no need for the Harmoniser to use Thermal Energy to keep you alive in the cold.
Rev3 review and GS review were REALLY similar, and not by just the mechanics of the game, but the ending of the video, the scenes used to explain a point, the order at which the points were discussed ._. yeesh
The game is actually pretty entertaining. The character is more likable and relatable. Wish it was a little more like the first 2, but then they were criticized for not being a cookie cutter game, and now that they tended toward that, they're being criticized for listening.
Ice planet of Hoth? Flipping switches & riding elevators? constant rolling while fighting? shooting monsters with glowy things? 3rd-person mechanics and cliche`s?....I think I played this last year...My bad it was Dead Space 3.
Honestly, i'm still buying this, as a good collector of the series, i don't care, however i do wish that they think about things and do more in depth ideas on the old series rather then juggling fifteen different series while getting it on like your grandma. Capcom you want to appeal to your fans? Just stop half-arsing all your games to get more of them out there and slow down to take your time to make your games much better.
And even then the mech segments don't look all that engaging. It looks an awful lot like they serve to be nothing more than diversion stages (E.G, The tank levels in Quake 4). It's a break from hallway shooting before getting back to the grind which is discerning considering one of the biggest draws to Lost Planet was the Vital Suit combat.
Actually according to this review its average I do agree at loss of identity and I wish they had made another like LP1 rather than a whole new direction
Gears was a popular game for the time and it was marketed well. Loadsamoney. People will get bored, it's just a waiting game from here. Someone will make a good game soon.
I just played it on psnow on my ps4, and i really liked it, the story, dialogue kept me hooked, also it sounds amazing with headphones really great atmosphere, great game tbh
This is actually a pretty good review. The combat, though fun, is very rinse and repeat, but when it's supplemented by a well told story, and Capcom seems to finally having abandoned their rather over-dramatic storytelling, it's absolutely worth a look. I'm rather surprised though, that the reviewer made no mention of the obvious ripoff of Alien music in certain places. Oh well. I was pleasantly surprised by this game, though I didn't exactly expect much...
Why so much hate towards capcom? Is it because they turned resident evil games into a joke? I hated RE5 and 6 but Revelations was a little bit scarier and i enjoyed it, not as good as RE 1-3 but still scarier than 5 and 6. I respect capcom for all the great games they made, but they made some mistakes too i agree.
you know... if it was more like number two in some ways id get it... i loved the first game... beat it like 5 times and got everything for number two and beat it on the hardest difficulty with friends it was very enjoyable but this one...im not too sure :S
Killer is dead and outlast should be great games to play. I am curious to see how this is also. With brad's commentary it should be a go. Just like Cryotosis.
Lost Planet's always been a somewhat disjointed series in my opinion. The four games have some mechanics and designs in comparisons, but they feel like really different games.
black list, saints 4, rayman, and this all came out (pretty much) on the same week, and publishers wonder why their games aren't making enough money tut tut
This game is a bastard failed main straining of a cool series. I, for one, loved the fuck out of lost planet 2. I found it to be a blast, and the character customization was cool. This game disgusts me.
dang.i guess the jumbled feeling comes from the fact that the game is about the journey of multiple heros that will all come together at the end. but realy though th gameplay was godlike for me..crap ton of very very unic monsters that act so differently from each other. large maps that had many secrets, weapons, VSs, and the bosses! holy shit you have so many ways to kill the bosses= use VSs, use heavy guns/canons, attack outside and inside, even use a motherfucking Landkreuzer P.1500 Monster
Jeez, this game comes out in basically the same week period as SR4, the Bureau, and Splinter Cell... talk about letting a game out to pasture - Capcom could have at least tried to rush it before and grab some summer market...
1rebelboy if games are similar that means they are from the same genre. I really hate it when people say oh this game copied from that game. Of course they did they are from the same genre of games lol.
Dan the Joke Man makes sense dude. The planets core isn't drained of thermal energy so it isn't nearly as cold. Which in turn means you don't need it to survive, so it was either remove it as an item/pickup completely or use it as a currency which also makes sense... Yes i know this was three years ago lol
you know what I hate? When the reviewer first line is a summary of his whole opinion on the game, " Lost Plane 3 is a decent shoter, no more, no less" Why would I watch the rest of your review whe i already know how you feel about it at the start?. This should be at the ending not the beggining.

TrancoTechnizer u couldnt say it any better
@@abymondesir23 I’m so late
Love this game so much. I keep replaying the whole story.
Honestly I absolutely loved LP2, 4 player coop against giant-ass akrids was some of the most fun I've had with a video game
of all the people making bad comments, how many of you actually played the game outside of the guy reviewing it.
I love this series only for its grappling hook.
you mean hard to hate and easy to love, I finally found a brand new copy! so stoked, this game feels and plays amazing, just not for frantic picky fps players
This review just killed my wanting to buy this.
dont go by the reviews..cough cough(call of duty series).. lp3 is a good game..

I think many people will get it.Nick Cage is a hero in our time, whose films have brought joy to millions.
I don't care about spoilers, also wtf happened to Ash from Pokémon?
That background music was quite good.
I played the demo of the first one, i thought it was enjoyable, never played part 2, but i think i'm ready for this one!!! Looks crazy!

I don't care what people say. i enjoy this game thoroughly and it's fun to play no matter what.

Let Dice develop the next one, imagine it handling like BF3 but from a 3rd person viewpoint with amazing graphics and audio.
If this game had a big name attached to it it would be a 10/10
is it still time bomb health bar

what do you dislike about it?
Lost planet 1&2 were loads of fun
Actually according to this review its average
I do agree at loss of identity and I wish they had made another like LP1 rather than a whole new direction

Kevin Vanord = Best Reviewer
Keep on posting these lp3 vids!
Is there a co-op campaign?
First one is pretty damn fun. Can't say the same about the sequel.
LP1 was hard as hell, I never beat it...
Loved this mission.
bring back lost planet 1 :(
i was actually really looking forward to this and now I'm sad
I liked the first game but it was spoiled a bit by the time limit.
I'll never understand what's so good about this series. It never appealed to me as a must play game.
Must play? Absolutely not, but LP1 was a solid game. At least for some people including me
GS Reviews = BEST
This game is only 2 euro in my local Gamestop....
Should I go for it?? xD
Plus there's the fact that the harmonizer hasn't been invented by the time LP3 takes place.
No. He looks identical to Adrien Brody. Which is the dude from the King Kong 2005 remake.
Totally scrolled down to say this.
Solid review.
Wait, no wide selection of giant mechs? Are you serious?
This is actually a pretty good review. The combat, though fun, is very rinse and repeat, but when it's supplemented by a well told story, and Capcom seems to finally having abandoned their rather over-dramatic storytelling, it's absolutely worth a look.

this game wasn't made by capcom
When they decided to make LP2 co op with basically no story and meh SP and critics destroyed it they failed to realise people wanted it more like LP1
Well, this is unfortunate. Guess we should all just remember this series for the excellent original and not it's two lacklustre sequels.
Whats this? A bee comment in a comment section woefully underpopulated by bees?
An influx of bees should put a stop to that!
And with a giant lack of vital suits, I can see why.
you know... if it was more like number two in some ways id get it... i loved the first game... beat it like 5 times and got everything for number two and beat it on the hardest difficulty with friends it was very enjoyable but this one...im not too sure :S
I still pick it up
Well Speeden, I'd say that the lack of all and any bees in this comment section has been somewhat of a let down.
Killer is dead and outlast should be great games to play. I am curious to see how this is also. With brad's commentary it should be a go. Just like Cryotosis.
What do you mean, LP2 was fun as hell!
Lost Planet's always been a somewhat disjointed series in my opinion. The four games have some mechanics and designs in comparisons, but they feel like really different games.
Cause it is him
black list, saints 4, rayman, and this all came out (pretty much) on the same week, and publishers wonder why their games aren't making enough money tut tut
Looks good, but they need to change it up a bit.
Is this Dead Space DLC?
They should put back the server for lp1 I think.I heard crapcom is shutting down the online servers
OH NO NOT BEES NOT THE BEEEEEEES AAAAAAH!!!!
no co-op??
This is his review why don't you play it for yourself to find out if you like it
Damn. I really like lost planet 2 :( Wish I would of played it more.
This game is a bastard failed main straining of a cool series. I, for one, loved the fuck out of lost planet 2. I found it to be a blast, and the character customization was cool. This game disgusts me.
i have nothing but fond memories of lp1 never played 2 and never will play 3
dang.i guess the jumbled feeling comes from the fact that the game is about the journey of multiple heros that will all come together at the end. but realy though th gameplay was godlike for me..crap ton of very very unic monsters that act so differently from each other. large maps that had many secrets, weapons, VSs, and the bosses! holy shit you have so many ways to kill the bosses= use VSs, use heavy guns/canons, attack outside and inside, even use a motherfucking Landkreuzer P.1500 Monster
I didn't even know this game was coming out haha
You are better off playing the 1st game again.
That one is brilliant.
so basically its dead space three without the micro-transaction and the over blown hype, fair enough
Jeez, this game comes out in basically the same week period as SR4, the Bureau, and Splinter Cell... talk about letting a game out to pasture - Capcom could have at least tried to rush it before and grab some summer market...
5.0 is better than expected.
looks good for me
I loved the previous games. .-.
I always wonder what makes Lost planet, lost planet?
Eh I enjoy Gears although I think it lost it's way after 2 in ways. I do agree it sucks how so many games are just emulating others
1rebelboy if games are similar that means they are from the same genre. I really hate it when people say oh this game copied from that game. Of course they did they are from the same genre of games lol.
was that Olivia Wilde's voice?cause i could buy a game just for Olivia Wilde's voice....maybe when its like $20 or so lol
LP2 was so awesome and fun and now.... this.
Lost Planet 2 is what Metal Slug should be if it was 3d
Looks cool though
I preferred LP 2's co-op and multiplayer
i have not seen anything about this game anywhere aside form steam.
this should have been made into a movie...crapcom sales are just going down again
lost planet came well before dead space
At least nobody was disappointed...
Nicolas Cage + caveman = Nicolas Cave
Zing! Dead Space 3 was lost planet 2 DLC.
loved the fucking shit out of LP2 ....and then they did this.....fucking hell just fucking hell
Nic combined with Adrian Brody
"thermal energy is no longer your lifeblood, but currency"
...im sorry what? EXCUSE ME?! WTF CAPCOM
To The Pirate Bay!
now lets give cod 11/10 :)
but we can always trust one company to do us good... ALL HAIL THE NAUGHTYDOG.
you know what I hate? When the reviewer first line is a summary of his whole opinion on the game, " Lost Plane 3 is a decent shoter, no more, no less" Why would I watch the rest of your review whe i already know how you feel about it at the start?. This should be at the ending not the beggining.
I was young when I played lost planet 1 so I hated it and the aiming retinal that moved across the screen
Damn it Capcom, stop ruining games that are loved to many gamers
True, so that is nothing for the reviewer to complain about.
I feel bad. No one even knew about this game.
