Is the frog earlier than the scabbard? What causes the wear to be so much more substantial?

Thank you for your comment and welcome aboard 👍 We believe the frog to be of the same age - it has just worn over the years as it is of a softer more supple material than the scabbard, etc. Softer more flexible leather and storage, temperature and environment will all be factors in the difference in resistance to wear and colour depletion.
