The opening shots and music - total chill mood. Love it. Interesting and informative video, Ryza, as always. Omedetougozaimasu on completing your first year, and arigatougozaimasu for sharing your lessons learned from the experience. 👍
Im just starting learning japanese this year, and took N5 test last week, i have 3 years experience with mobile development. how much time you think i need to improve japanese to business level and got my first job at japan ?
Hi I am from Sri Lanka. My biggest passion is to be a software engineer. I am coming to Japan on a student visa May I know what kind of qualification I need when I come from Ceylon to study this there?
So how do your sprint planning meetings go? I personally find them really bloated, maybe because we are about 25 people in there. But I don't know, fishing for others' experiences :)
Oh wow 25 people! My team only has 5 people so it’s pretty easy to do the planning. Estimating story points can be tricky, but other than that it’s manageable!
@@ryzary Thanks for your reply. Yes, that's unfortunately what I observed as well... Do you think whether there's any advantage in applying from within Japan, if I only aim for western multi-national corporations? The universities from which I obtained my degrees qualify me for the J-Find visa, but I'm not sure if it's helpful at all in this case.
Sir i have no knowledge of coding but i want to be a software engineer so if i get into Tokyo tech will they will give lesson of coding from beginner level
No matter bachelor or master course, the lessons in school are absolutely not enough for SDE or other positions I think. If bachelor course, they'll teach you some programming language, algorithm, etc., just for test and credits. For master course, it completely based on lessons you selected, but most are useless. Internet is best teacher.

Nice insights there! I am also starting my software engineering journey from July 1.
Good luck with your new journey!

How's the job market in Japan?
From what I observed on Linkedin these days, the job openings are dominated by positions for Staff/Senior Levels.
