They are friends who grew up together, before being musicians, it is obvious that after almost 10 years together they want to experiment with new things. They are still quite young and can still give a lot to music. We'll have to wait for a new album. Many groups have had solo stints and have lasted for years (genesis first and foremost).
I was going to say the same thing: they've been good friends since they were kids. They've also been roommates, too. I think they will miss playing together after a while.
That's what I thought of. The word hiatus gives me a strange feeling. I'm also not so sure about the others and if they are really so content with it. Say what you want, but Damiano is the charismatic frontman with the unique voice, it will be much easier for him to go solo than for the others. I like his new music, but it's very different to Maneskin, I'm not sure if you can bring these two things together again, when he is successful with his new direction. Let's wait and see.

It's healthy for any band. Boy bands could also do both. I know lots of boybands that do both, I don't know why UK and US boybands always do the "one member going solo means the group is over" thing
I think you can tell by his attitude and the tone of his voice that it's not gonna happen or at least not soon, like he's not really interested in doing things together with the band anymore 😅 well, that story is quite common with bands, we'll see what happens in the future

I completely agree with everything said. The name of the band as a background helped him a lot because they got recognized, became popular and it still helps him and pushes him in his solo career. I think that all this time of separation will distance them, change them and that there will be no more spontaneity, inspiration, it has been lost. This is how he maintains the public's attention while his career as a solo artist continues. Sad, but I don't think they will ever be together again which is also sad.

So to see how same fans bash him on every interview/post, demonise him is sad and not fair. Maneskin are childhood friends, they‘re still very young and they just need to find themselves by experimenting and if that means going solo for some time, so be it. I‘ll be honest, I‘m not vibing with Damiano‘s music so far (tbf he only released 2 songs but still) but it‘s something he wants to do and see how it goes, so who am I to complain? (Heck, even if he goes full pop guy for the rest of his life, it‘s his choice.) I genuinely hope the band will come out of this hiatus with new energy and inspiration. Imagine if The Beatles had enough foresight to take a break instead of breaking up. Other bands have fallen victim to the go go go of recording and touring and recording without breaks and it broke them. One that comes to mind is Van Halen with Sammy Hagar. They were running on empty during that last tour and album and it broke them up in the end; had they taken a year or so off, who knows?

Maneskin will no longer exist. None of the other members of the band have commented on either the "hiatus" or Damiano's new songs. We only have information from one side. Yes, he will have success solo, because he has many qualities, but his music will be American, commercial pop music, like many singers do overseas, but that's where the fame and money are.

In 2024 the band was completely different. The spark and energy was gone. He looked demotivated, which is understandable after their intensive schedule. This 180-degree transformation from a horny rock star to a well-toned wedding singer is incredible. I wouldn’t even say this his last solo song is worse than the latest from Måneskin. I understand his "growth", but that kind of transformation gives me the feeling that it was, or still is, so fake! There's no chance you can sincerely change your music taste that drastically. He’s not a rocker; his words "rock and roll never dies" mean nothing-they’re just empty words. He’s an entertainer, a masked performer, and no one knows what he’ll do next. Surely, he looks great, and that’s where the focus will stay. He’s a model, a supermodel. Beyond that-no expectations.
