I find it so hypocritical that when Gus first approached Don Eladio to sell meth, he thought it was a terrible idea when Gus knew it was the future, and now he's forcing him to give away his formula so he can have a slice of Gus' pie.
Don Eladio was not hypocritical to change strategy at a later date, just as plenty of business heads who lack the imagination and insight to see a significant innovation or market change early are not hypocritical to later adapt their strategy. He started working with Gus back then. Gus has always been under the cartel. The cartel is shortening the leash on Gus by taking the formula because they know they have to keep Gus under control.

guys you're so bad at guessing where the plot is going, every time :D just watch the show and enjoy. gus is unprotected in the midst of cartel and you think he's gonna bring Tio's head to them? how does that make sense
Walt wouldn't have had to kill those two guys if he didn't snitch Jesse's revenge plan to Gus in the first place. He didn't want Jesse to poison those guys because he was worried Jesse would get caught and he will land him in trouble with Gus, which is ironic because the whole thing is what actually got him in Gus' bad side in the end. This ties back to the half measure-full measure concept Mike was saying. If Walt decided to tell Gus about Jesse he should've been prepared about the consequences of that and stuck with it anyway instead of half-assing it and going back on his choice. This showed Gus that Walt's "loyalty" is fickle, he could confide in Gus one day then turn on him the next. That's why he couldn't trust him anymore. Jesse is the complete opposite, he's straightforward on what he thinks and who he's loyal to, that's why it's easier for Gus to predict his actions and more advantageous to keep him than Walt
Lol Pudgey wasn't "too hard" on Walt, don't pay any mind to those comments. You're reaction is YOUR reaction, and everyone has different reactions to the very same scenes, episodes and characters, there is no wrong or right. And frankly Pudgey (and Spartan) are probably smarter and more perceptive than 90% of the Walter White fanboys who get their rancid tightie whiteys all in a twist whenever a female reactor utters the words "I feel so bad for Jesse" 🤣😆 Like Walter, don't like Walter......it's your reaction, your first time experience, what's interesting (and addicting) is to see where different reactors land with everyone and everything that happens on this show. If everyone all had the same reactions and commentary, what would be the fun in that? You're SUPPOSED to get disgusted with Walt sometimes/often, that was the whole point of conception for the entire series!
The guy "Don" (Which means boss) Eladio killed in previous episode was not Gus' brother. It was his VERY close friend.. potential lover. Gus is from Chili. His friend was not. You hear the term Don used a lot in Italian mafia as well. As both languages are latin based. A lot of people believe the term Chicken BROTHERS was used to throw off people from knowing their homosexual relationship. Gus was in fact into men. They were at the very least BEST friends most likely lovers.
Everyone commenting the same thing but it's fair to call them brothers too, they were the chicken brothers after all. Most people don't know they were lovers but it's obvious they were very close and so it makes sense to see them like brothers
Walt should have helped Jessie kill the dealers. It was a perfect plan and well deserved. The only reason he did not was his ego. Walt caused that entire situation and then resolved it quite badly in the end..
if you ever react to the SCAR FACE movie. Don Eladio and Hector are both in it, along with with an actor in BETTER CALL SAUL. the prequel to BREAKING BAD.
My parents had a deal with me that they'd help me buy my first car as soon as I got a job and could pay the insurance and gas for it. Watching Walter Jr. being so dismissive about a free car is so aggravating.
Guz's "brother" was not his brother but his lover. Guz's only reason for building his empire was to take revenge. Because only if he is important and powerful enough does he get the invitation to visit the Don again.
Jesse didn’t ask Walt to kill those 2 dealers for him - Walt took it upon himself. And how exactly did that end up helping Jesse? All it meant was that now Jesse felt obligated to kill Gale for Walt in return, and the murder of Gale is what pissed off Gus. Those 2 dealers were nobodies.

Yep, one of many easter eggs in BCS
Yep, they designed this kind of bottle and beverage and it appears several times in their universe. It's Zafiro Añejo, I believe.
@@aaronia8092 That one! Zafiro Añejo
Gus was working Jesse but both he and Mike have realized that a lot of Jesse's whacky behavior actually stems from Walter.
Gail could not get 96% purity - that is Heisenberg standards that he could only dream of.
He did, but Walt was 99
@@KeenAesthetic1 Gale “claimed” 96 but he was in awe of the blue glass grade crystals that Gus brought him, which only can be obtained at 96 and above, as evidenced by the purity test in this episode. Ergo, Gale was probably inflating his own abilities.
@@oaktree1628 or Gale also probably had a slightly different recipe and got a clear 96
i was waiting for this episode :D hope u enjoy it like me.
greetings from germany :D
guys you're so bad at guessing where the plot is going, every time :D just watch the show and enjoy. gus is unprotected in the midst of cartel and you think he's gonna bring Tio's head to them? how does that make sense
If Jesse kills Mike and Gus, how does he get back home?
With a bus
Gus is a chad
The guy "Don" (Which means boss) Eladio killed in previous episode was not Gus' brother. It was his VERY close friend.. potential lover. Gus is from Chili. His friend was not. You hear the term Don used a lot in Italian mafia as well. As both languages are latin based. A lot of people believe the term Chicken BROTHERS was used to throw off people from knowing their homosexual relationship. Gus was in fact into men. They were at the very least BEST friends most likely lovers.
That guy btw is not Gus’s brother, but rather his lover/ boyfriend.
That was his lover, not his brother, that the cartel killed.
Possible spoiler, but you learn more about Gus's pre-BB backstory in Better Call Saul.
10:12 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳🤣Somebody gif this and turn it into a meme!
It is very strongly implied that man who was shot by the pool was Gus’ lover, not his brother.
it gets more fleshed out in better call saul, its not too surprising that they didnt catch it here.
Everyone commenting the same thing but it's fair to call them brothers too, they were the chicken brothers after all. Most people don't know they were lovers but it's obvious they were very close and so it makes sense to see them like brothers
17:16 Why did that catch me by surprise 😂
Wot a wee tod!
Walt keeps saying he is doing it for his family so Skylar should be able to use that money as a part of the family.
Walt should have helped Jessie kill the dealers. It was a perfect plan and well deserved. The only reason he did not was his ego. Walt caused that entire situation and then resolved it quite badly in the end..
*MINERAL* show!!
if you ever react to the SCAR FACE movie. Don Eladio and Hector are both in it, along with with an actor in BETTER CALL SAUL. the prequel to BREAKING BAD.
16:53 her eyes 🤣
21:33 lol I don't think you guys understood what Mike meant there
They don't understand much at all lol
@@akbarshabazz-jenkins7847 they actually understand a lot but they also reach soooo far sometimes, as if they were tripping balls
At around 25:50, they certainly were not brothers... The History books might come to call them "very close friends" 😂
Two eligible bachelors, painting the town pink.
@@Joe-cm5kl just a couple of roommates
Yes, but that is actually a spoiler from Better Call Saul.
@@Nightmarigny Well, I never saw BCS and always understood it as such... But you might be right in that I should have remained quiet
@@Nightmarigny Not really, it's obvious in this show and BCS only makes it slightly more obvious
That is a SPOILER from Better Call Saul.
@@Nightmarigny No, that was already clear in breaking bad. It's due to your ignorance if you didn't realize that.
Walter saved Jesse’s life that night and Gus wanted them both dead because of those dealers.
Um, it ended up helping Jesse by him not being dead
I would have loved to have a PT Cruiser when I was 16.
You would be better off with your trusty old bicycle
loved it
Jesse is everything Gus groomed Gale to be but better..
17:15 Almost got demonetized there 😂
Top 5 episode, for sure.
