    I recommend the LOMO roll bags with the motone mounts. I run this stuff on long trips and they perform flawlessly.

      Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed the video 🤙🏻 Interesting question. I was quite lucky because my T100 had them fitted when I bought it. Although I know Triumph sell them online as do Motone plus some other sites. I’m not quite sure if they are stainless or chrome but they look the part and offer that extra bit of safety! I’m considering a rear rack next 🙂

    Great video love the bonneville
    Can I ask do you know the history of your bonneville?the higher than average milage is interesting on a bike that looks like new I was wondering if the miles had been racked up on summer tours ?
    Surely it's not been an all year round machine
    Anyhow keep up the good work friend

    • @surfingsteven1624
      @surfingsteven1624  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Ian, thanks for you comment. That’s a great question 🙂. All I know is that the first owner used the bike regularly and did around 4.5-5 thousand miles per year. My guess is it was primarily a summer riding bike and did longer journeys. The bike didn’t come with a luggage system or rear rack etc so I don’t think it was used for touring purposes. The good condition comes down to the first owner I think. They always had it serviced by Triumph and one other point is the build quality. I think Triumph make bikes with good materials, Paints, chrome etc that last better than other brands which helps them keep that new look after a good clean despite age and mileage. Glad your enjoying the videos! 🤙🏻

    Painiers to me just dont look right...spoil the lines of the bike.....I carry what I can get in a back pack.
    Goes everywhere I go.....carry a 12v pump....spare jumper...few basic tools...ie cable ties fuses...toilet roll bottle of green slime for tubes incase I get a flat tyre.
    Oh and a small A5 road map...in case I come across a diversion.

      @@surfingsteven1624 I use what ever back pack I have to hand....would need to give some thought to carrying a heavy chain in it.....I tend not to park my bike out of sight.....I do carry a more lightweight wire rope with a combo lock....not to heavy.
      I did look into converting my T100s spoked wheels to tubeless....but still looks a bit to heath robinson to me.
      With good quality branded tyres and tubes flats are very uncommon it seems.
      I try to be self sufficient much as I can...I carry a small 12 pump....5 CO2 gas cartridge's and a hand double acting mountain bike pump.
      All take very little room and not much weight.....I have Tyre Pressure Display fitted to warn me or a tyre going down...£20....very accurate and fast acting.....
      At the end of the day if I am stuffed I have the RAC recovery card.....but I would be disappointed in myself if I ever need to use it.
      I enjoy your videos Ste.....keep up the good work....wish I had been into bikes at your age....didnt start till I was 63...now 70.....T100 only my second bike...first was a BSA Bantam.
