This time, I asked a friend who plays snooker in Thailand to translate, so I think it’s quite easy to understand. In Japan, pool tables are everywhere, but snooker tables are quite rare, so it’s challenging to play no matter where you live.
Guess what bro, after watching your videos and really analysing them, I made a break of 108 on line up! That's my first century break ever. Unfortunately, after clearing all 15 reds, I landed too far on the yellow (almost behind the green) and can only see 5% of the yellow ball so I was virtually snookered.
Congratulations on your century! The line-up gets more difficult when there are about three reds left, doesn’t it? Good luck with your next goal of a total clearance!👍
@@Sasa_snooker That's great, now I believe you have worked hard to get into this level of what we see in your practice. To shift it into the real game you have to delve your self into the psychology of the game, and it's the most difficult part of the game and how to be fearless and how to intimidate your opponents and how to always have the will to pot them all. Good luck.
Thank you very much! There are no strict rules for my practice sessions. Generally, I start with basic drills and then move on to practice that simulates real frame situations.
@@Sasa_snookerThis is what I’ve been doing, but I’m not noticing a significant improvement at my current level. Do you have any practical tips on how to raise my performance from breaking 50-60 in match situations to 80-90 or even 100? I’d really appreciate any feedback.
I watched your videos, and I think you’re quite skilled. I don’t have much else to add, but I’ve written some thoughts in the comments on your channel's video, so please check it out. Here’s the link to the video: ruclips.net/video/ZJZx-zZySfA/видео.html
Hi Sensei, do you think relaxing the upper body helps with cueing straight? I tried it today, and it felt good. I’m not sure if I’m overthinking it, though
Putting unnecessary tension in your body is not ideal, but in my case, my upper body isn't completely relaxed. My bridge arm (in my case, the left arm) slightly pushes against the table in the direction the cue is moving, so I can't say that part is fully relaxed. However, it's not a lot of force, just a very slight amount.
how can you use side spin, can you guide me. i am confident with straight shots, but when it comes to side spin i am quite confused because i am not sure if i aim correctly. although i know there are situations where i need to use them, i only dare to hit straight and usually leave the cue ball close to the cushion
I understand that you might not feel confident when using side spin, but I think everyone experiences that at first. However, once you can use side spin effectively in this game, positioning becomes much easier, so side spin is an essential skill. To learn side spin, it's important to first understand the basic principles, so please check out this video: ruclips.net/video/mT1QQxcPjcM/видео.html There are also many other coaches who explain side spin, so feel free to look for more if you need additional information. As for practicing side spin, there's no specific recommendation, but personally, I think the best way is to just experiment with side spin and play around with it a lot.
ด้านล่างนี้คือเนื้อหาที่ผมตอบกลับเป็นภาษาอังกฤษครับ The following is the response I gave when someone else asked about a small amount of side spin in the past. Feel free to take a look if you're interested. Regarding the slight side spin, while the priority is often given to the spin that changes the angle rebounding from the cushion, I add a small amount of side spin to stabilize the path of the object ball, achieving a more consistent potting. In English, this is referred to as "helping side." Please check out the following videos for reference: ruclips.net/video/Dfo_2qAXnaw/видео.html&ab_channel=BarryStarkSnookerCoach ruclips.net/video/WS7wtFQyf5g/видео.html&ab_channel=MichaelHoltSnookerCoaching Regarding 'Helping Side,' it's not something I consciously practiced and gained but rather something I unconsciously picked up through playing a lot of billiards. So, there isn't a specific practice method that I can recommend. For starters, I suggest not being fixated on hitting the center every time but rather getting a feel for which impact point is more likely to pot the ball depending on the angle. As mentioned by the coaches in the videos, not all professionals use side spin, as some prefer hitting the center of the ball. It's not something universally recommended for everyone. What works best is something only you can determine for yourself based on your own preferences and imaging.
Your snooker is very good But have you ever never made any video on stance and grip of snooker cue It would be nice if you make a video on this I will wait for your video plz............
Many coaches and players have already made videos on techniques like shots, and since I don't speak English, it would be difficult for me to create something better than those. Please try to find a video that suits you.
the first time I mentioned that I'm from Brazil, you started putting subtitles in Portuguese. I was grateful! Now our best player is winning some tournaments like the World Senior. Have you ever seen videos of Igor Figueredo? In the last match against Jimmy White, he achieved an incredible black to yellow.
Thank you for your comment. I'm only uploading the videos where things went well, so it might look that way, but I'm not as good as the main tour players. Even when I play against someone who used to be on the main tour, I can hardly win any frames.
Well, you could qualified the Q-school tournament 1st, against those ameteur players. They are not Professional players (WST). From what I see, you could be a TV player one day. Keep up the great work :)
Sasa your channel should have loads & loads of more subscribers. I know your English is not 100% but maybe you could try some teaching videos with subtitles. Would love to see your channel get the views it deserves 🤑
Teaching videos would just be full of text if I can't speak, and there are already plenty of videos from various coaches. I don't think I could create videos more valuable than those.
Other viewers have also requested a POV video of practicing the blue ball, so I’m currently filming and editing a new POV version based on the practice in this video (ruclips.net/video/drI53tD6Owk/видео.html). If I have time, I will upload it this week, but if not, I will upload another video this week and release the blue practice video next week.
Aside from your height, your form also makes a difference, so it's hard to say which is better. But with your height, I think you could go for a cue as long as 56 inches.
Excellent video!
Thank you very much, Zstar!
Sensei, that was brilliant ! Any language is fine. Thank you for sharing !!
Thank you for your comment! I think it might be a bit difficult for those who usually watch in English.
wow, THAI explanation, very good. Now I am in Tokyo but still.have no time to play snooker in Japan. Thank you for very good VDO again anf again.

Wow 🤩 you took big risk.. off 2 cushions on final black but get pot mate 👏👏
Thank you Maui. I’m a bit disappointed that I couldn’t position the cue ball perfectly on the final black after the pink.😓
@@Sasa_snookerI heard you on brown to blue 🙄
I wanted to get it a bit further from the rail, so I said 'a bit tricky' out loud (lol).

I practice every day. I believe my highest break in a match was 83 points.

ruclips.net/video/Dfo_2qAXnaw/видео.html&ab_channel=BarryStarkSnookerCoach ruclips.net/video/WS7wtFQyf5g/видео.html&ab_channel=MichaelHoltSnookerCoaching
