  • The first inaugural 1998 NHRA Fram Route 66 Nationals blew into the windy city from the newly built Route 66 Raceway in the Chicago suburb of Joliet, Illinois. In addition to all the pro categories, this Diamond P Sports event also featured a light truck Pro Stock class. TNN Motorsports commentators Bob Frey and Steve Evans provided the coverage.
