Usually heavy with quince and lemon with touches of honey. For a lower price point much better than chardonnay in my opinion (which tends to be overly oaked and manipulated.). Big fan of South African Chenin Blanc.
@@robertrush5739 Great insight!! I tend to stay away from Chards that have any oak. Actually, some of the unbaked are nice. The Chenin is a fantastic option!!
I just tried it and love it! Don't care for other whites, and usually drink Cabernet Sav. I ventured out recently because I wanted something light for summer. Being low carb, I stopped buying IPA s. This hit the spot!
Thank you for the information! I’ll be trying my first Chenin Blanc as one of the wines my wine club will be tasting tonight. It’s a Domaine Huet Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu Moelleux and I’m excited to give it a try.
Great video, and I know much more now than I did before. Thank you. But contrary to what you said at the end, I think it’s pretty ok to forget about the vegetarians :)
Have you ever tried Chenin Blanc? What did you think?

I have a 2002 Beringer Chenin Blanc. It’s a deep golden color now
Never! Pierre, I am very much looking forward to tasting this Noble Grape since I have never tasted it before
Good information here! Got me interested in Vouvray - liking South African CB a lot.
Love Chenin Blanc from Loire and South Africa. Massively prefer it to the rival from the Loire, Sauvignon Blanc.
I go for South African Chenin Blanc if I see it and the price is right, which it usually is
Drinking a Chenin Blanc with our dinner this evening. One from the State of Washington.
