You just can’t say things like that at all. Any time anyone says that it is arrogant and it’s stupid. It literally will follow you for the rest of your career.
There is no proper time to say that your profession is easy. I know lots of guys are arrogant these days and don’t think about it But being humble (truly humble not this new age BS where you say I’m humble and I’m the greatest of all time) can really lessen the impact when things go wrong.
That’s just a lesson for humanity.
Being arrogant is never a good look. You may be soooo great that it doesn’t hurt you but it’s never going to help you.

And everytime I was over at their house - for lunch homie was always pounding pb&js like it was his job. And that shit actually worked… guy gained 40-60 pounds that summer.

The biggest red flag of this situation isn’t even the tapping out. It’s the openly saying that afterwards. If you didn’t know the firestorm saying that would start then how the fk you supposed to go out there and analyze complex defenses and make the right throws. Ant needs to go to a QB camp and refine all of his fundamentals. QB play in the NFL is 80% mental and a strong arm doesn’t even enter into the equation if you are throwing to the wrong read or just guessing.

On top of that, Allen developed despite having far less talent around him than most young quarterbacks, which makes his growth all the more impressive. It’s rare for a player to follow that kind of path, so comparing this prospect to Allen isn’t realistic; a trajectory like Trey Lance’s seems more likely.

Anthony Richardson was a disaster waiting to happen. Scouts fell for his impressive measurables and athleticism, but they overlooked the glaring issues: he struggled to process defenses, made terrible decisions, and had awful accuracy-all evident during his time at Florida. The only reason he looked even slightly good at times was due to his overwhelming physical advantages over lesser competition. With major mechanical problems and questionable judgment, he looks more like a gym warrior than a legitimate quarterback. At this point, he might have been better off considering a position switch because there's no doubt someone with his athleticism could be useful on an NFL roster somewhere. It’s clear he’s a bust, and in hindsight, he should have been a fifth or sixth-round pick, not anywhere near the first.

I was big on AR coming into this season but 100% agree with Cam. Lots to adjust on his habits during the game that won't happen without mentoring or just a lot more reps needed for him to get polished technically and have proper capacity to QB for a team through a whole NFL season the way he plays. Sadly I'm not sure if Flacco is the one to mentor him on his style of play, but can definitely help him with his passing reads and understanding game situations. I think what's happening now with Justin Fields in Pittsburgh would be an ideal situation for AR. Get him out of Indy and have him play behind a more established pass/run QB like Josh Allen, Kyler Murray, or Jalen Hurts. Sad thing is, his stock and Indy's draft situation is not nearly as favorable as it was for Chicago to make that move and still end up with Caleb Williams... Definitely not a fair situation lol.

17:16 Them big boys up front have to get their big ass up to that second level to pick up blocks for the running backs 10 yards downfield and turn right around and pass pro 30 seconds later, and they don’t get the benefit of being as small as the other guys. They gatta get that big ol horse up and trotting and they never get to step off the field. 6 guys on an offense aren’t ever supposed to walk off the field perfectly healthy. The QB, and the 5 big guys up front. Those guys gatta have that level of respect and trust in each other, that they know the other guy is gonna dig down deep and fight for them, and that’s why they are willing to dig down that little bit deeper to fight for that guy. When the damn QB is tapping out, he might as well have slapped all 5 of those big guys right across the face and said I ain’t fighting for none of yall. You can say that they aren’t running around like he is, but the play he tapped out on gained a total of 0 yards, because he ran backwards 10 yards before deciding to run back towards the line of scrimmage, and it wasn’t a designed run play. His inability to be prepared to execute the play, caused him to turn a pass play, into a scramble around sack play that didn’t help anybody. Least of all himself. At some point, responsibility falls squarely on you, for your inability to hold yourself to a higher standard of accountability. And then the total lack of self awareness to just openly say that to the media was the most damning thing. Like, come on bro, surely you’ve played enough to know that you can’t do that at your position. You’re trying to be the face of a multibillion dollar business.
