You seem to be very surprised that YG has a lot of great rappers so let me tell you that they are actually known for their rappers. There are many independent labels in korea with great rappers, but when it comes to big companies in the big kpop scene, YG Ent. is the hip-hop powerhouse and are recognized as such even by the underground rappers.. Since their creation they are known for their rappers. I say that you should watch old school YGE to get the idea. Starting with their first artist ever released, Jinusean. I think "A-YO" is a good music to start with thhis duo. They basically started when YGE was created (1997) and despite they're not releasing something now, they are still signed in YG, so they are kinda still around. Othe group that is a "must watch" is 1TYM (YG's second group). I think "HOT" is a good song to start. This group is also the group of Teddy Park, one of YG's main producer (producer of 2NE1 and Blackpink) and CEO of YG's sub-label called The Black Label. While at it why not check "YG Family - Hip Hop Gentleman". This is basically a big collab between many YG rappers which includes both Jinu + Sean from Jinusean, Danny + Jinhwan + Teddy from 1TYM, Masta Wu (solo rapper) and GDragon (when he was still a kid before BigBang). They had many others but i think this are good for an introduction.

Planetarium is the label, PLT is more so the name they come together as a “collaborative” group however they are all solo artists under the label. Definitely more Gaho. This kid is a KILLER vocalist I mean everyone under PLT is amazing tbh. Moti, Jinwoo & June. Villain previously was under PLT as well. Highly recommend all their stuff. There’s a few more songs they’ve done as the collective as well (Igoholic, Blah, Glue)

When I say love bigbang, especially gdragon and top's artistry I mean it. Their minds is a world of its own and their artistry goes beyond their music, safe to say art is their lifestyle. Sometimes it blows my mind sometimes it confuse the hell out of me but im here for it. As the saying goes, art comforts the disturbed and disturbs the comfortable. Literally, bigbang made my appreciation and interest for art in aspects has increased.

Doom Dada is basically TOP saying he’s the peak of evolution. Like everyone else in the game are like the apes at the bottom of the evolutionary scale while TOP is the most evolved form. Doom Dada is inspired by the movement Dadaism cause TOP is so artsy idol. It also breaks the idea that we are brainwashed by mass media and that we should try to break free. MOBB even won the Hip Hop Artist for their debut and sadly got into our petty fanwars in the family. Born Hater is the best collab among Hip Hop Artists in Korea on my perspective. BI leader of iKON is not even yet a debuted idol that time. Each artist in Born Hater shared their experiences in the industry and Mino even said wait for 2018 that the will make it big for him and yes he did with Fiance and his album XX top charts. CL is indeed a badass icon for the girls with Jessi, Cheetah, Hyuna and Goddesss of Badass Hyori cause she was the first to have that image in the first generation.

Born Hater is a classic Epik High greatest song of all times, you guys should have like special episode on just Jay Park, the amount of content he puts out is insane. Also when SIK-K Party came up, it was a hit in Korea, the song was everywhere. The only thing that this episode missed was a good Nafla and Loopy song. Also if you are into khiphop crews like DPR and PLT, you should look at stuff like the NBA crew, Club Eskimo or Fanxy Child. They have DPR Live which is the performer, DPR Ian (the australian) who is the videos director and editor, DPR Cream who is the producer and DPR Rem who is executive producer (there are more people but these are the ones we are familiar with). PLT stands for planetarium records, it's a self-produced group of artists (Gaho, Jinwoo, June, Moti, Kei G., Leenzy, and Villain, but he now left the label), they are all soloists first and often collab among themselves. When they first started promoting they released projects as a collective (specifically Gaho, Jinwoo, June, Villain and Moti), but after that they each worked on their solos and now they only collab when they feel like it. Villain, June, Moti and Gaho all have solo EPs and solo videos you can check out! They each have different specialties and they all write and produce entirely their songs! (June was actually a trainee under Big Hit and worked with Suga back in the days, Gaho is becoming more and more famous recently cause he has a killing voice and he's getting a lot of offers for Drama OSTs, etc.) They actually did a tour in 2019 and they performed in London as well! (I got lucky enough to see them, they are really good live as well, Gaho particularly sings like a freaking angel) If you want some famous titles I suggest: PLT - Igoholic Gaho - Preparation for a Journey, Stay Here Moti - GO (ft. June) Villain - Manitto (but really, listen to his whole EP "bank robbers" cause it's pure gold and he shows different sides of his artistry!)

Korean rappers tend to have crews, groups of other artists who they consistently collab with. A example would be DPR Live tends to collab with loco constantly. Tons of AOMG and HIGHER Music artists have collabs constantly. Same with other khiphop labels like high lite labels, the artist under that label collab but also Khiphop artist I find have more freedom so they collab with whoever they what really as long as the other party is down.
At that time Epik High was under YG (for a few years) so it's interesting how they were still swearing lmao. Epik High has such an amazing discography and they are together for 17 years now which is wild in that industry. PLT is a group of 6 solo artists all signed under Planetarium Records(the 5 you guys saw here + another member). They have worked together to release compilation albums under the name PLT, and each have a solo song on the albums (sometimes featuring other members) as well as their group songs. the intro and outro of each album are produced by PLT's sixth member, Kei.G, who is not featured in most of their videos. songs i recommend from them would be igoholic!! but if you want to get the whole feel of them as an artist i would recommend reacting to the full albums!! I'm really glad you guys are reacting to K_hiphop. As a person who went to many Hiphop concerts in Korea, Id like to say that even in K_hiphop there is mainstream and underground Hiphop. I love both but there is so many artists from the underground who some of them went mainstream lately that deserves recognition. DPR LIVE is literally one of my faves. Changmo, PUNCHNELLO, Gray, The Quiett, DEAN, Nucksal, Paloalto, Swings, YoungB, Kidmilli, giriboy, BeWhy, loopy, Nafla, Owenovadose, SimonD... And the legendary K_hiphop group Dynamic Duo. :)

T.O.P 's references are quite hard to understand since he is using Korean slang and a lot of his lyrics are based on the way he sees his country. He gives a nod to politics, war, evolution, and how humans are treating each other and how they are treated among their communities. A lot of the hard words he uses are art borrowed, he likes wine so he includes that as well. His mind is truly such a difficult place to be a part of, but if you pay attention he gives you so much context through his rapping. He may look like a hardass but he is a very genuine, soft, and kind-hearted man, he just loves to push the boundaries others have set for him and his music. He knows what's up and he has a very heightened sense of how the human brain works.

You seem to be very surprised that YG has a lot of great rappers so let me tell you that they are actually known for their rappers.
There are many independent labels in korea with great rappers, but when it comes to big companies in the big kpop scene, YG Ent. is the hip-hop powerhouse and are recognized as such even by the underground rappers.. Since their creation they are known for their rappers.
I say that you should watch old school YGE to get the idea.
Starting with their first artist ever released, Jinusean. I think "A-YO" is a good music to start with thhis duo. They basically started when YGE was created (1997) and despite they're not releasing something now, they are still signed in YG, so they are kinda still around.
Othe group that is a "must watch" is 1TYM (YG's second group). I think "HOT" is a good song to start. This group is also the group of Teddy Park, one of YG's main producer (producer of 2NE1 and Blackpink) and CEO of YG's sub-label called The Black Label.
While at it why not check "YG Family - Hip Hop Gentleman". This is basically a big collab between many YG rappers which includes both Jinu + Sean from Jinusean, Danny + Jinhwan + Teddy from 1TYM, Masta Wu (solo rapper) and GDragon (when he was still a kid before BigBang).

The thing I don’t like about YGEnt is they have a very week legal team, their artists are usually targets from the media. A lot of them left because of fake accusations from the damn media like B.I and Seungri (he totally got witch hunted).
Shawn Isler not only female artists. When the Kmedia releases like 200+ articles with Seungri’s name on the headlines for clickbait, or they wrote a bunch of fake information about him, YGEnt didn’t even do shit to stop that. The scandal became big because news outlets kept writing misinformed articles for ratings and views everyday. Seungri barely ever got promoted by YGEnt honestly, he got to do all the promotion himself overseas. He is the one that always put up works above everything, as you can see from the bags under his eyes right? He isn’t called Panda for a random reason, he got to run his businesses, dance academy,.... and still got to promote all by himself. The management team in YGEnt was bad honestly.

When I say love bigbang, especially gdragon and top's artistry I mean it. Their minds is a world of its own and their artistry goes beyond their music, safe to say art is their lifestyle. epik high are three members (the guy in orange -dj tukutz-, the one with the cockroaches -tablo- and the guy with the pizzas -mithra jin-), they debuted in 2003 and they get big with songs like fly, run, 우산 and so more. They get a big controversy arround 2009/2010 when some korean netizen acused tablo of faking his studies in stanford university because some confussion with his english and korean name and he got so much hate and tought they’re career was over but he prove he wasn’t lying and after getting in a korean show with his daughter he get the favor of the public again. DPR is an independent group that creates music and visuals. They have DPR Live which is the performer, DPR Ian (the australian) who is the videos director and editor, DPR Cream who is the producer and DPR Rem who is executive producer (there are more people but these are the ones we are familiar with). Cream also have music so if you wanna check them out later I would totally recommend

PLT stands for planetarium records, it's a self-produced group of artists (Gaho, Jinwoo, June, Moti, Kei G., Leenzy, and Villain, but he now left the label), they are all soloists first and often collab among themselves. When they first started promoting they released projects as a collective (specifically Gaho, Jinwoo, June, Villain and Moti), but after that they each worked on their solos and now they only collab when they feel like it. Villain, June, Moti and Gaho all have solo EPs and solo videos you can check out! They each have different specialties and they all write and produce entirely their songs! (June was actually a trainee under Big Hit and worked with Suga back in the days, Gaho is becoming more and more famous recently cause he has a killing voice and he's getting a lot of offers for Drama OSTs, etc.)
They actually did a tour in 2019 and they performed in London as well! (I got lucky enough to see them, they are really good live as well, Gaho particularly sings like a freaking angel)

Korean rappers tend to have crews, groups of other artists who they consistently collab with. A example would be DPR Live tends to collab with loco constantly. Tons of AOMG and HIGHER Music artists have collabs constantly. Same with other khiphop labels like high lite labels, the artist under that label collab but also Khiphop artist I find have more freedom so they collab with whoever they what really as long as the other party is down.
At that time Epik High was under YG (for a few years) so it's interesting how they were still swearing lmao.
Epik High has such an amazing discography and they are together for 17 years now which is wild in that industry.

PLT is a group of 6 solo artists all signed under Planetarium Records(the 5 you guys saw here + another member). They have worked together to release compilation albums under the name PLT, and each have a solo song on the albums (sometimes featuring other members) as well as their group songs. the intro and outro of each album are produced by PLT's sixth member, Kei.G, who is not featured in most of their videos.
songs i recommend from them would be igoholic!! but if you want to get the whole feel of them as an artist i would recommend reacting to the full albums!! I love your videos so much!! ☺️

I love both but there is so many artists from the underground who some of them went mainstream lately that deserves recognition. DPR LIVE is literally one of my faves. Changmo, PUNCHNELLO, Gray, The Quiett, DEAN, Nucksal, Paloalto, Swings, YoungB, Kidmilli, giriboy, BeWhy, loopy, Nafla, Owenovadose, SimonD... And the legendary K_hiphop group Dynamic Duo. :)

The copyright on TOP's video is for the artwork featured...which TOP probably received approval from because he is related to Kim Whanki, the artist. Also, TOP's lyrics usually have art references so if you don't know much about art you'll miss a lot.
T.O.P 's references are quite hard to understand since he is using Korean slang and a lot of his lyrics are based on the way he sees his country. He gives a nod to politics, war, evolution, and how humans are treating each other and how they are treated among their communities.
A lot of the hard words he uses are art borrowed, he likes wine so he includes that as well. His mind is truly such a difficult place to be a part of, but if you pay attention he gives you so much context through his rapping.
He may look like a hardass but he is a very genuine, soft, and kind-hearted man, he just loves to push the boundaries others have set for him and his music. He knows what's up and he has a very heightened sense of how the human brain works.
