I'm totally with you on all of this! On the amazement of BTS's impact and growth as well as not understanding people's level of hatred, groundless accusations to try and tear them down, prejudice and disregard towards them.
I hope you don't pay attention to the few immature ones that come at you for whatever petty reason: having personal opinions or lacking information (like that's a crime), pausing of the video to comment (instead of acting like a vegetable), etc. Unfortunately people aren't usually as directly verbal with their positive impressions as their negative ones, still you can see the amount of people that are even just giving information on BTS - these are people that are enjoying the ride with you as well! And I guarantee that the absolute majority of us are happy with long videos where you give your honest and spontaneous feedback as it fits you!
And, personally, I like *Everything* about your style! Even the technical quality of your videos, like the image, sound and background are impeccable! =D But especially, and most importantly for me, your honest and enthusiastic and super funny style of communication! You have me laughing with you since the first video, for every single one of them! =D I am thoroughly enjoying your videos so much I've become your fan too, willing to check even videos you put out that aren't of BTS! You're really great, You keep Doing You!!

Not gonna lie it's been a hard week between working, feverishly putting out videos & tryna focus on the positivity instead of the negativity (especially on the first video) & this comment just, just had me in tears. If I could heart this comment 10 times, know that I would! :")

@@AmariLeone I'm really sorry you are having to deal with toxic, hurtful people... and it got me really angry to know that you're getting hate and for just *absolutely nothing* - You Did Absolutely Nothing Wrong!! I don't think I'll ever be able to understand people that just want to tear other people down...
I understand you're a musician (I'm still happily exploring your channel) and so I'm *very* curious to hear your music! Music is an emotional experience that translates the artists' heart and soul through it for me. So I just *know* I'm going to enjoy yours! It's what happened with BTS for me too =) Same as with them, I've quickly become very fond of your high-vibe, funny, insightful and enthusiastic self! And I've read in the comments that I'm *Definitely* NOT alone in this!
So fight on!! Keep Doing You!
You'll have your very own fanbase one day to do the clapback against the haters for you too (I'll be one of them!!) I can't imagine it would be even possible not to be bothered and affected by the *totally undeserved* hate, and that's okay - we're all just human, not cinder blocks.. I just hope that you can still draw strength and motivation enough from the vast majority of us who are in FULL support of you to keep moving on and doing your very own, special thing

I’m 54 years old and was introduced to BTS thru carpool karaoke. Fell down the worm hole so hard that I now introduce them to my college history classes. I start by showing them the BTS United Nations speech. I don’t think it is surprising that their fans span the ages as their message of love and hope transcends age too.

71 year old member of Army. By accident, several years ago, I found a MTV show which was a contest (?) of hip hop groups and fell in love with the genre. So You Think You Can Dance pushed me even further into the love affair. If I were 55 years younger I’d be part of the scene. Sigh. FB introduced me to K-drama’s and eventually into K-Pop and then hurtled me into the world of BTS. I’ve never been good at understanding lyrics, always tuned into them as part of the music, so the language barrier isn’t an issue. It took several weeks and obsessive watching to figure out who was who but now I know their faces, their ages, their talents, and their charm. I feel like a proud grandma watching “my boys” grow from teenagers into charming young adults. That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it.
Thank you once again for an intelligent, informative, and insightful reaction.

I'm 27 Years old, my first ever concert was a BTS concert in Brazil in 2019, in my house all 4 of us are armys. Bts came to my life in a moment where I was so lost... And their music, their personality, helped me smile, and laugh, and they make me feel like I'm not alone. And armys became part of my family, I reconnect with old friends because of BTS, and I made new ones that I know will be with me for the rest of my life.
The kpop community hates BTS, they don't believe a group from a small company can outsell a big company group. They say they are fans of small groups, but like, as long as they stay small and don't threaten their other favs.
And At the time of BTS debut, they had a different concept of the other groups debuting at the time, they had a lot more freedom than other idols ( they run their own social media, they write and produce etc.) and they had the appeal to international friends, so obviously other fandoms felt threatened, but since armys were small at that time, they could do whatever they wanted and we couldn't clapback, ( they love to say that armys ruined kpop because we are toxic and that they want 2016 kpop to be back, that's the time when they bullied BTS to court, because of the chart manipulation accusation, so yeah, what they really want is the time where they could do whatever they wanted without consequences) so the smear campaign began ( and run until today, but now we have numbers to defend ourselves and BTS).
Oh, and answering your question in that other comment, I'm Brazilian, so I speak Portuguese, broken English, and I'm planning to learn Korean next year. ( as in move to Korea to study).

A lot of dudes get judged for liking boybands and dint want to be associated with it. Therefore, many are very hesitant to try to listen to their music. Which is really sad, because they have such versatile music that both males and females can enjoy. Not only does the boyband stigma steer guys and some girls away, but also the fact that they seem to be feminine to the western world. (Also the stereotype about ARMY scares people away as well; since the toxic ones are louder than the supportive ones). Anyway, I believe the male fanbase has been growing, especially as if recently which is great! BTW I am a 16 yo girl who recently got into bts about a year ago. @@AmariLeone , it's a bit of a long history, but one of the members, Taehyung (V), made a speech during third muster, I think it was (Muster is their anniversary performance), talking about how purple was the last color of the rainbow and that it meant that BTS and ARMY will love and trust each other forever. So purple became ARMY and BTS' official color as well as the little saying between ARMY and BTS- 보라해 (I think that's how you spell it in Korean), which translates in Borahae, or "I purple you". It's a cute meaning and something that means a lot. Since then, purple has became a very important color to ARMY and BTS, with ARMY doing things like "Purple Ribbon Campaign", where instead of the chaos that was airport arrivals and departures when the group flew somewhere, ARMY made a long purple ribbon to keep the space between the excited fans and BTS, ensuring that they, nor the fans got hurt, as well as let BTS breathe easy about getting through the airports. I'm really bad at explaining it, sorry.

I'm 22 and I've been a fan since early 2014, so it's been about six years with them and ARMY now! I saw them live in Amsterdam at the Ziggo Dome in 2018 I believe. What I really want to say is, as a girl growing up, having BTS' music, ARMY, their shows, their livestreams, their WeVerse messages, tweets and touching words raised me for a great part. They became a lifestyle which my mom fully supports, because she loves what they do and how they help people from all ages through life. I cried with her while listening to some of them songs, especially Moonchild by RM. She says they helped her out a lot as a single parent, isn't that crazy? I don't want people to stan them because of what they look like or just the sound of their songs, I want people to realize what kind of impact they have on humans. It could really help people get through things and find their way in life to just open up to the things they have to say, not necessarily the way they dance or anything like that. 31 yr old ARMY here and been with them since the very beginning of BTS and let me tell you.. saying I’m so proud of them...is an understatement! I really enjoyed your reaction because it shows how their message inspires people everyday. Out of everyone I’ve seen, not one person has NOT been moved by this video so your reaction is understandable. Once you know their story it’s really hard to say no to BTS especially with the message of self love they have shared since 2018. Their campaign with UNICEF #LoveMyself was to increase efforts to end violence for the youth around the world. Since it was so successful UNICEF invited them to speak at the UN to share their new campaign #SpeakYouself which consisted on telling youth to find their voice and express themselves. Their world wide tour in 2019 had the same title LoveMyself: SpeakYourself Tour and it was amazing!! They ended that era and it was so sad because it was emotional for the leader RM to let go.🥺 Now they are teaching people to discover their true selves with the Map Of the Soul series inspired by Carl Jung psychology. They really are true artists that have inspired the world. Now they are Legends for future generations to follow so please stick to them, keep reacting so they can change your life too!!!✌️😃👍

I'm 40 years old, I found BTS through my 19-year-old daughter, and I realized that I was ARMY when I was on my way home from FINALLY seeing Eminem live in concert 2 years ago (having waited 19 years for him to return to Sweden, min you)...and seriously could not stop gushing to my friends on the concert bus about the BTS rap line, their Cyphers and Ddaeng (which had just come out).
I was crazy about rap and hip hop dance since I was a kid in the late 80s, but felt lost when it all turned to gangster rap in the mid-90s when I was a teen.
BTS, with their lyricism, old-school beats, incredible rapping technique/flow... They just set my heart on fire again! So while my daughter is more into their pop/EDM stuff, I am a rapline STAN (although not as confused and dangerous as the original Stan, #Eminem) ;)

You asked for ages, well I’m 48 and male, well at least last time I checked. I just like good music, and I’m kind of fussy. Music has to be interesting to catch my ear, BTS make really interesting and varied tunes and they mix and match genres seemingly at will. At my age it’s hard to find stuff that seems new and fresh. I have not been this thrilled with new music since I discovered Eminem 20 years ago. Also, I grew up listening to the Beatles, who were still relatively recent [they broke up the year before I was born] , it is becoming increasingly difficult not to compare the two groups. Since happening upon BTS in 2017, I have been led into a broad discovery of South Korean art and culture [very rewarding journey] as well as finding other great Kpop acts I love [my second favourite being the thirteen member strong group ‘Seventeen’] . BTS have churned out a remarkable body of work in Seven years, and I strongly recommend you go explore. Have fun having fun :D

A lot of their music resonates with our generation, but they also capture the pure essence of many little moments and hard-to-describe feelings that are part of the human condition as a whole. I think that is why they appeal to so many people. That and, they really are very personal with us. They will do little live vlogs and just talk about whatever is on their mind, read our comments and they are extremely open in a way that must take a lot of courage - unapologetic to who they are. They live the messages they write and perform about.

If you're curious, please get into it!
It starts with the HYYH trilogy: 19+ version of I NEED U , the prologue, and Run MV

You’re educated and really open-minded and it shows even in this first impression. Keep doing you!
BTS member Suga said “You'll like BTS music if you listen without prejudice”.

You might see requests for more of their pop sounds but they do neo soul, hiphop/heavy rap, latin-influenced, R&B and the list goes on. They explore so many different genres so I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like. If you need help don’t be afraid to ask we got ya

I'm 17, but most of my friends who are ARMY are at least twice my age. I discovered them when I was 12 so I'm here for the long haul. Their music really helped me when I was struggling with the rigor and pressure from my school, especially their songs like NO. and No more dream. Even now, when I have anxiety attacks, RMs playlist/mixtape 'Mono' is what keeps me from giving up. The amount of sacrifices that they have endured gives me the willpower to go on.
Ps. The literature freak in me loves their lyricism and constant allusions to literature and mythology. It's my bread and butter.

How can you be accused of chart manipulation when you from small broke label? Thank you. Question of millennium. But for k-pop fans logic and reason is not in their vocabulary.
Petty antifans and at that time people from biggest and most powerful fandom in k-pop raised doubt when felt BTS sales numbers threatening their group possition. Out of spite and ignorance they filled forums with rumours and media got wind of it and couldn't pass juicy story. Freaking rumour almost destroyed already struggling labels and BTS reputation. (And reputation in Korea is everything). Label gone to court to prove their innocence and there they proved what a bullshit it all was. But damage was already done. People say ARMY is toxic, but boy we are freaking angels in comparison. ARMY at that time didn't have power to shield BTS from all that malice. But now we can. And we not letting anything like that happening to BTS again. They already had enaugh of shit to go through. We learned our lesson well. ARMY never forgets or forgives.

And what you discover is that whilst the music and dancing and visuals draw you in ... it's their message and what beautiful, fascinating people they are that turns you into ARMY. Because the world really needs to hear and see the message they have for us. There's something important there for everyone. BTS aren't just a boy band, they are a family and they invite us to be part of their family in a way I've never seen before. I'm 37 and for the first time in my life I can say I'm a 'fan' but it feels more meaningful than that, like we are an extension of their family, distant relatives. Alot of music today is so ... hollow. Money, cars, sex. It's so boring and it doesn't feed the soul, just the ego. BTS is more interested in feeding your soul. They are amazing. Thanks for reacting to their music, I enjoy your videos. :) Love to all ARMY out there.

I don't know if you've actually realized it, but the two music videos and the videos that have been recommended for you to watch have all been watched multiple times by ARMY, and yet we will still come and watch them another time with you, just because we love watching people discover and fall in love with BTS and their music. Don't worry about how long the video is, we'll still watch it. I'm 49 years old and I absolutely love these boys. Just FYI, the boys are absolute crackheads off stage. They have a variety show called Run BTS that shows you how silly and competitive they can be. Be careful about reacting to that kind of content, though, because it's easy to get a copyright strike on those and televised footage, like reward shows and talk shows. Oh, and their live performances are even more energetic and hyped than recorded stuff, because they feed off the energy of the crowd, if you know what I mean.
"Who is BTS: An Introduction to the Seven Members of Bangtan" is rather outdated, but it gives you a good starting point to get to know the individual members. The "Crash Course...2020" video is similar to this one but more updated. Just be aware, that one is probably going to hit you in the feels even more than this one did. One question that always comes up and I'll go ahead and answer for you is about how Koreans calculate age. They count the 9 months in the womb as your first year and add on a second year when a child reaches the first day of the new year. So, if the person hasn't had their birthday yet in a given year, you can add to years to their age as we calculate it and if they have had their birthday already, then you'd add one year to their age. It will come up when the videos start talking about how old the boys were when they debuted. I hope some of this information helps! Welcome to the rabbit hole!

4:26 that's pretty much exactly what BigHit said when those accusations were happening. "We don't have the income to do that." Like, they were about to go bankrupt before BTS became popular.

I stumbled onto BTS a couple of years ago! They are amazing performers with real substance. I am a 70 year old woman who is obsessed with BTS. Because of them I dove into the whole KPOP scene watching many of the other groups out there. BTS will always be my #1 favorites! They are all amazingly talented but Jimin is my bias 💜 his charisma is infectious! He was the first guy you liked from the "On" performance and the contemporary dancer from Black Swan. He is an amazing performer on live stages too.
I hope you check out some of the other groups as well. Only 1% of Idol groups make it big! Thank you for your impressive knowledge and breakdown of the music. Great reaction 💜

I'm 52. I've been ARMY for 4 years....and I am ARMY for me. It has been decades that I have been this motivated about music and supportive of a group of artists. I have never been this invested in a music group. Their journey has been beautiful, a true underdog story. And on top of it all, they are amazing humans beyond the music. I hope you will watch the other intro videos because you want to. I promise every person is affected by BTS differently, yet we all love them the same. And I promise you ARMY will watch you react to a 3 minute video just as much as a 30 minute video. We have watched reactors react hundreds of times because we love watching new ARMY being "born" because once you get it, you get it. Beyond their talent, the great music and lyrics, and commitment to their craft and each other , they are an enigma. They are more than music. They are a movement. Enjoy the journey. Watch all the who are BTS videos. And they are even better LIVE. I've attended 3 concerts and they are the best I have ever been to and I have attended many from huge artists.
You should react to the UN speech. They were selected as part of the new UN Generation X programs designed to support teens and young adults in underprivileged countries obtain real life skills training to create jobs. (They are already global ambassadors for UNICEF and have raised over2.6 millions dollars for a global youth project of their own designed to end youth violence...and you will find ARMYs donate to different charities in the name of BTS every month and BTS donates in the name of ARMY to private charities.) They are more tha music. They are influencing people to be better and do better to create a better world for us all.

    Time for another comment 😁
Oddly enough even though it's so challenging to get BTS played on the radio at all, they are played in Walmart and Target in many areas. I think it's largely due to how we sell out their albums from those stores and others so retailers are finally giving them a chance and playing their music. Radio is a whole different ridiculous matter. Most of the time, radio badly chops up BTS songs to focus on the English bits and puts the focus on the English speaking collaborator if they're featured on the track. This happens because BTS is committed to performing primarily in their native Korean language rather than putting out their songs entirely in English. While I understand making a "crossover" album has worked well for some big names (hello Shakira), it's ridiculous that still happens in 2020 when by every other measure radio should be more inclined to give them a chance compared to others with less draw (Dua Lipa). That being said, I'm extremely proud of them for continuing to push forward. They even have a newly launched video course to help us learn Korean 😁
    Also I'm almost 31

If you think this video is long? You should give reaction to bts live performance in korean wards show.. we ARMY don't mind watching them for hours, even in video reaction like yours.. I'm 40yrs old.. yeah... i have a daughter, and i'm screaming for seokjin (the one wearing denim jacket in ON music video) i found bts only end of 2018. Never a fan of kpop even though i watch korean drama for almost 20yrs.. bts did changed me.. never knew i would stan a kpop group at this kind of age. BTS songs is the kind of song i would love my kids to listen.. they talk about real stuff, real life, motivate people to love ourselves.. im new in this bts things, so i suggest you accept the suggested song in the comment section.. pick the most requested songs.. bts performing live is always better than their music video.. welcome to the rabbit hole...
