    The finance sector and speculators love when government distorts the economy. Every distortion is oppotunity for them to make money. The effects of government economic behavior are so far reaching, it is mind boggling. Many jobs exist only because of the government, even though they are not government jobs. They exist just so economy can survive all the regulations and redistributions.

    YT played an ad for Krugman's web masterclass right at the beginning of THIS video ahaha

    • @GeorgWilde

      Krugman is a leftist hack. He spews disinformation. For example, he said that you are not forced to use dollar, you can compete with the dollar by using something else he said. :-D And this is demonstrably false (liberty dollar = treason).

    government spending will be effective when government has minimum influence to economy and the government is small like US in 1800 without fed gov. correct me if i wrong.

    i want to ask what are the pros and cons of government intervention in the market for necessity goods like egg, fish and chicken. Consider the effects to both consumers and producers.

    I would love it if you remade this with a better audio balance between the background music and voice.

    • @Chris-cd9se
      @Chris-cd9se Год назад

      It would be even better if the gratuitous background noise (music) was dispensed with altogether; I wonder if the producer would consider it rude to invite someone for an intelligent conversation and then turned the radio on?

    great video, the only thing I'd disagree with is that you spent the whole video explaining why the free market is superior, but then said we should have defense expenditure, when clearly defense follows the same economic concepts and could be done more privately.

    • @musaran2
      @musaran2 6 лет назад +1

      Spending on defense is not the same as running you own army.
      One could spend to "army providers", but anything touching security is a very touchy topic : what if your enemy outbids you ?

    Is the market able to provide good long term allocations of resources?
    How can the market preserve resources for generations and centuries if people are at maximum interested in preserving them for their life time? People make really irrational decisions, especially long term ones.
    Saving for retirement might be a good idea but many simply do not care because it seems so far away.
    Can you still assure me that the market will always make better decisions than the government even when market players are extremely irrational?

    For me only VAT tax should exist.
    A 10% for anyone.
    The other economic actvity&sources of income should be tax-free.
    This is WHAT made USA so strong...if they were like USSR during the WWII even Japanese would beat them badly...
    P.S. A good government shouldn't manage education, healthcare and social security. Those tend to bloat badly...look:
    cfrd8-files.cfr.org/sites/default/files/styles/large_l/public/image/2018/05/budget.png
    you could build 3 "USA" for that moneys WASTED by idiots...

    The government doesn't create jobs/ directly employ people????? You sure buddy?

    • @stayswervin554
      @stayswervin554 2 года назад

      It actually doesn’t create jobs.
      How can you create jobs if you don’t create wealth?
      What the government does is relocate jobs. The government is like a baby it’s supported by the private sector.
      The government couldn’t create wealth if it tried it can create money tho
      Wealth and money are two different things.

    Your video content is good but the voice is terrible. In just $10, you can have good voice over from Fiverr so similar sites. Please replace it with women voice, it will be excellent video then. Sorry, you might feel bad, but these things are needed for good explanatory videos. Please replace voice for all videos. Just try for one video and feel the difference.

    • @neilkayton
      @neilkayton 5 лет назад +3

      Why don't you get the voice over done with a woman's voice for $10 and send it to the creator? Do something about it rather than complain.

    This is a terribly misguided video....capitalism is a system built of of personal gain which isn’t always good for the collective. That’s why government is necessary. It can do good for everyone and not just the individual. It is a place where people willingly follow rules so that all benefit. People have a habit of not informing themselves enough and companies have an incentive to misguide consumers to do things that harm them in the short and long term. Capitalism is a system that encourages blissful ignorance so that the consumer spends as much as possible. I am a capitalist but government is tragically necessary.

      Government has played a roll throughout all of human history and in almost all societies. And human history has been filled with misery and suffering, oppression, war, and theft. Don’t forget that the worst crimes in the world have been committed by government.
