Pianist Aron Goldin would like to introduce to you his new recording of 'Homelands'

While hiking and reflecting on the tragic affairs within Afghanistan at the time, Aron recalled the various music he had studied over the years. Particularly, songs that were centered around the timeless themes of exile and detachment from one's home, including pieces by Schubert, Schumann, Fauré, Rachmaninoff and more! This conceived the Homelands concert in June 2022 with Tenor Ian Bostridge and the addition of poetry readings by actor Sir Simon Russell Beale, with support from the 30 birds Foundation who've done amazing and diligent work with helping young girls from Afghanistan resettle in Canada.
'Homelands' features many great songs and wonderful performances, including Tenor Ian Bostridge and his first recording of Mahler's 'Ich bin der Welt' from Rückert-Lieder, Soprano Jennifer France brings her performance of Faure's 'Les berceaux', Baritone James' Atkinson's gives a rendition of Schumann's 'Liederkreis' & Bass Wonsick Oh who provides his performance in his native Korean, Dong-Su Shin's 'Oh Mountain!'.
