What is God's judgement? God’s standard of judgment is defined by his holy character. At birth, we are all deserving of his judgment. But, out of his infinitely rich mercy and steadfast love, he sent the perfect Lamb, Christ, to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Christ took on the judgment we deserved. Washed in Christ’s blood shed on the cross, we are transformed from strangers and aliens into children of God (Ephesians 1:7-8; 2:19). Overwhelmed with joy and thanksgiving, we ought to extend the same olive branch of peace and love to all our neighbors.
