    Just started watching you're vids brotha's and they have inspired me. I drive a 2021 automatic 579 Peterbilt with the 48ft Flat and/or a 53ft step deck for a company out of Mansfield, Tx. I moved furniture for 16 yrs, and only have been driving for about 6mths now and I Love every aspect of the job but the safety and maintenance issues that comes with driving a semi. I've had my own business before that I loss for personal reason but I'm now ready to get back into doing my own thing. Frankly I'm tired of working for ppl. Lol. If your gonna work hard at something it mind as be for yourself, Right! Right. I see much potential in this industry. With that being said I started to talk with hotshot drivers at truck stops whenever I had the opportunity and realized I was getting more positive responses then negative from them unlike those from semi-truck drivers about there jobs, whether they were owner operators or worked for a company. So, I started doing the research on what it took to put it all together and making advances toward it. One of the first things I started to consider was what model truck i was going to use for the business and of course the Ram 3500 seemed to be the choice of most HotShoters. But then while I was pulling out of a Flying J'S after fueling I seen one of those Freightliner Super Chassis you have pulling a HotShot trailer and was Immediately drown to it!!! Like Damn, Yeah Thats The One. For the life of me though couldn't figure out what model it was until I seen one of your vids while doing more research. I gotta say brotha I'm sold on the idea of getting that truck, with the cummins engine of course. LOL There is definitely a positive of having a sleeper that makes these long travels OTR in a semi, barrable. I'm not going to be up and running until next year but when I do I'm Going In HARD!! and I'm going to need at least a certain level of comfort I feel I can get from that model truck. Anywho learn SO Much from just watching 4 of you and the young man's vids. Keep up the good work, be safe out there, and keep putting those vids out there. I'm sure you will be hearing from me once i get father along into the process of putting it all together.
    Thanks Again Fella's MrMarcus

      yea its something we definitely had to come up with due to us having an air ride 5th wheel on this setup. with a static 5th wheel you wont run into the issue of having to brace up the trailer as much as we do because there are no air lines to break at the 5th wheel. still worth having for a static hitch imo because it will take a lot of stress out of your 5ht wheel when loading and unloading freight

    I have extension hoses on the dually to air them up... It makes it easier to air up... I recommend replacing those extension hoses every year... Although they are braided they do tend to fail every once in a while... So to me it makes sense and it's cheaper to replace them every year then replacing the inner tire because the extension hose failed and causes tire failure...

    Been catching some of your videos, enjoying them. Would like some info if you see this. Have my eye on a T300 with a sleeper. Has a 8.3 Cummins and automatic like yours. My question is, especially with the tuner, how is your mileage. I stepped down from a peterbilt back in to my 5500 but I’m missing the room of a sleeper. My duramax does good and I’m pretty happy with fuel mileage. I’ve been concerned with how I’ll hurt myself as high as fuel is these days.

    • @adventuresintrucking1995
      @adventuresintrucking1995  Год назад +2

      Yea great comment.. so first things first man I would recommend downloading mudflap on your phone. We pay 3.50-3.90 a gallon in fuel for about the last month with that app. secondly you can expect to see anywhere from 6-8 mpg depending on the load weight wind drag etc. ultimately i guess you gotta decide if having a sleeper is worth it enough for you to switch back into the bigger truck with the sleeper given the mpgs youll get and what you can pay for fuel with mudflap app

      Cool NVV! We saw an E 450 with a sleeper looking just like a big truck! I’ve been seeing a lot of municipalities running gas engines and even the school buses and delivery companies. Idk know how easy it will be to fill up on fuel as most truck stops do not have gas on the truck side and civilians don’t know how to get through the gas island on the RV side without a huge cluster! Definitely keep us posted, I’m VERY interested to know. Btw, will you be at MATS? We hope to see you there.
