No. Just flash stock ROM. If your bootloader wasn't locked, and if your device bricked by itself, try flashing from Odin. If you were on custom ROMs, you must've unlocked your bootloader already. So you can flash stock ROM using Odin. Remember to only lock your bootloader when you are in stock. If you are not in stock and you try to lock the bootloader, you could brick your device.
how to i find the right csc file? i bought an used phone and the previous owner flashed a different firmware, now i don't know if the csc that i find with *#1234# is the actual one that came with the phone or the new one gived by the software installation
in SW the last letter is the original region of the frimware and before that is the flashed frimware eg SAOM_SM901E OMX_XXV/XXV/XXV/INS (INS=india, orignal region the phone is from, XXV = taiwan, the frimware flashed)

If Odin gives SHA256 error, use the patched version of Odin odin3-v3-14-1_3b_patched-zip
does this automatically lock the bootloader?
